This was our first time dinning at Gladstone commons. Our friends were seated at a separate table, so we were able to ask them their thoughts as well. First the positives, very cute and warm feeling restaurant. Our reservation was at 5:30pm and we were able to take advantage of the happy hour ($5 bar well drinks). We ordered the crispy duck wings to start. It was a little odd that they only served us 5 instead of 6 (pretty sure ducks have two wings each… lol) but they were absolutely delicious. They had a sweet/savoury tangy flavour and would definitely recommend. On to the mains, I ordered the wild boar porchetta and I don’t think I have had anything so flavourful. So much effort and thought was put into this dish. I highly recommend. My partner ordered the flat iron steak frites and unfortunately this was disappointing. I can confidently say that both his and my friend’s steak were both over done. She ordered it rare, but it came out medium rare. My partner ordered his medium, and it came out medium well to well done. Secondly, I absolutely agree with letting the meat speak for itself and not adding too much. Saying this, his steak was not seasoned at all. No salt, no pepper, very bland. I spoke with my friend and she had to ask for seasoning to add herself, as she felt the same way. The parsley puree had no busy being on the plate, it definitely did not add to the dish but took away. The best part of his dish was the French fries. We absolutely have no problem paying for expensive food, however we have a problem paying for poorly prepared expensive food. The service was overwhelmingly attentive. Please do not misunderstand, I loved our server. She herself took care of our table extremely well, we did not require any more help. Our dinner together was disrupted multiple time by different servers. I would take a sip of water and a minute later a server was there refilling my sip of water. Multiple servers coming to take away plates when we were not finished, hovering our table. I think it might be beneficial instead of trying to turn over tables, to allow people to enjoy the company they have and the restaurant atmosphere. I think we would come back for another try, however I’m on the fence about recommending it to friends right now.

It was our first time at Gladstones and we had such an amazing dinner tonight. We got the Coq Au Vin and the Steak Frites, both tasted great! Our waiter Liam was so nice and attentive, genuinely amazing service. Would definitely recommend for a nice date night spot😊

This restaurant averages a 4.9 for a reason! It isn't the least expensive restaurant you will ever go to, but it is of the highest value and quality. A good rule of thumb is to trust restaurants that do not have an enormous menu, but rather a handful of things to please most pallets. This restaurant absolutely exemplifies this and it's the place my partner and I think about when we save up for a night out. I will never not rave about this place, it is a gem in Windsor and an absolute gift of an eatery. Make a reservation and don't miss out!

Food was decent, but a bit overpriced. Service was great. Parking is an issue once their lot is full,
Vegetarian options: They have a mushroom and cheese pasta dish.

Gladstone commons blew our expectations away! The crispy duck wings looked like a work of art, they were crispy and spicy, the pomegranate seed topping gave the dish a touch of sweetness, the pickled onions provided that burst of acid, and the mint made it all feel so fresh. The service was impeccable, she read as out all the specials, was constantly filling up my water cup, and one server even wiped some crumbs off the table between courses. The steak frites was delicious and the burger with the royale sauce was stellar. The fresh dill on the fries was game changing and the overall attention to detail here is on another level. We came for my wife’s birthday and we’ll definitely be back. My only critiques are that’s difficult was finding parking and it was a bit loud inside (but it’s a popular spot so that’s to be expected).

Unfortunately, there are no vegan options at all. I came here a few years ago and the chef made us custom vegan entrée. But now they don't label their menu and don't provide any vegan friendly options. I'd love to visit as the atmosphere is great and it reminds me of nice Detroit restaurants such as Mable Grey but they all provide vegan options.

One of the best restaurants in Windsor, we keep going back for their changing menus. The duck wings are divine, one of my favourite things i’ve eaten recently. Definitely recommend the trout as well. Amazing vibes, excellent service.

Great experience as always, we have been many times, and it's always a wonderful outing. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was great inside. Knky complaints would be the service at the beginning was a little slow. It took a long time to get our drink and appetizer order taken. After that hickuo things went smoothly. Will definitely be back and recommend Gladstone to others
