Harbour House Waterfront Eatery

One of my favourite places for Sunday Brunch, including a buffet and bottomless mimosas. I have also been for other evening events and music, as well as sitting out on the patio by the water. Great spot!

Brilliant view, food and service, and I do enjoy the vibe in the weekend. Happy hours are really wonderful to spend afternoon with friends even yourself.

Summer is not over abd still time to enjoy their outdoor patio. My friend was visiting from Toronto. Took him here with 2 other friends. Austin, was a great waiter, very friendly and remembered all our orders to a tee. Big beer selection and food was delicious and plentiful. Two had the double smash burgers, 1 had a chicken sandwich and myself having the Greek burger.

Avoid the lukewarm warm CAN lobster bisque “soup”! Ugh..how does one consciously serve a bowl of disappointment with a tiny two cracker package on the side? The server did not really care about the one crucial part of a HOT soup on a colder day….that the soup should be hot. First time stepping into this restaurant but likely the last too. No second chances when paying for what should be easy enough to get right.

Food I would give 3 stars but management only 2. The restaurant is close to me, so I try to visit, but food is only fair. I have tried the Mediterranean chicken, haddock, and perch dinner. The perch twice -- first time was a deep fried brick, but manager assured me the new recipe was much better, and indeed is now as expected. Haddock had a lot of fried batter. I had a gift card, so today decided to use it on some take out. Not a single employee (and this was a Saturday, so plenty present) knew how to accept payment from a gift card. They never did figure out how to do it, but 10 minutes into their fruitless attempts, somebody noticed that my order was in 2 bags and brought out the second bag.
Went back tonight for take out. The Cajun Chicken Sandwich was excellent. But order was incomplete - they forgot the fries.

It was very warm in there. Was celebrating a birthday. Table of 14. Food was just ok. 1 meal was sent back twice, then just said forget it. All meals came out at different times. Thought it would have been better.

We have been here several times over the past couple of months. Each time we have come the food has been very good. They have several specials during the week that are great to stop in and checkout.

The last time we were there it was Taco Tuesday. The tocos were all excellent. We tried the shrimp pearch and chicken. The time before that the blackened salmon was very good. The presentation and service was good.

We enjoy sitting out on the patio. It is covered, has ceiling fans, and screened in. So no or minimal bugs! There is plenty of parking across the street. Best of all you get a nice view of the river and Marina. Most nights you will get a good breeze.

We had a small post-wedding get together here with our family this weekend. The staff were incredibly sweet, and attentive. Every single staff interaction was wonderful and clearly customer service and guest experience is important to this establishment. It was our first time to eat there and the food was impeccable from the seafood to the fries, everything was cooked perfectly. Thank you so much for making it a wonderful celebration. We will definitely be back!

My experience today at Harbour House was not only disappointing — it was deeply upsetting. As a Latina woman, I left feeling disrespected, discriminated against, and taken advantage of. From the moment I arrived, I noticed I was being treated differently than other guests. While others were welcomed warmly and served with care, I was ignored, talked down to, and made to feel like I didn’t belong. The service was slow, dismissive, and borderline hostile. It felt clear that being a woman of colour influenced how I was treated — and not in a good way. To make matters worse, I was charged more than I should have been. When I politely brought up the issue, the manager — a white man — became defensive, refused to refund me, and shockingly threatened to call the police even though it was his staff’s mistake. I was shocked and hurt. I didn’t act out — I just wanted fairness. Instead, I was treated like a problem simply for standing up for myself. This experience was not just about bad service — it was about being treated as less-than because of who I am. No one deserves to be made to feel unsafe or disrespected in a public place. I will never return to Harbour House, and I hope others — especially women of colour — think twice before dining here. No one should have to experience what I did.

We had an enjoyable brunch. Our server, unfortunately I don't remember her name, was very courteous, polite and attentive. The young fellow who was busing the tables was also very polite and kept our water glasses filled. The food was excellent - a nice variety to choose from. We will definitely come back - good value for our money.

Stopped by this afternoon with a buddy to have few beer 3 empty tables in the bar side.. was told was going to be 30 to 40 minute wait. Manager comes over whoever he is!! Rude with an attitude that couldn't care less... I've been failed here many times that's the end!
