From the moment we arrived to our last bite of food was a great dining experience. Highly recommend this establishment. Best Lebanese food in town!!!
Dissatisfied with our waitress. Not only did it seem like she didn't want to be our waitress she wasn't accommodating at all. When ordering our food I asked her if it would be possible to get a side fattoush salad - she said no not unless I get a meal. You see I'm on medication that makes me have very little appetite - I can only handle eating small meals. My husband did get a meal though - so she could have been accommodating and say well since you husband got a meal I can add the side fattoush salad to his meal for you. But no instead I I had no choice really then to order the meal size huge salad as soon as she brought it out I knew I wasn't going to eat even half of it. Of course I was correct. I packed it up knowing it wouldn't be good to eat the next day because of all the salad dressing on the salad. Which is correct - I basically tossed out $30.00 worth of food because your server wasn't accommodating at all. I even made the comment to my husband that she has zero personality with us but when she goes to other tables she's laughing and smiling. We were nothing but kind to her and I still left her a nice tip - spent $170 and still had to toss out $30 worth of food .. this is so disappointing and because of the service we got I don't think I will return in the future especially if they can't be accommodating.
Used to love Mazar A LOT now it’s a bit different the last time we went we each found hairs in our food. Service was slow and food wasn’t delicious as expected wouldn’t come back
Our BBQ platter for 2 was great. Steak was very tender and flavours were fantastic. A very nice gesture of dessert for our anniversary and saxophone played at our table.
The service was very friendly, which made a good first impression. The chicken was juicy and cooked just right, not dry like in many other places. The appetizers were flavorful and well-balanced, not overly greasy or heavy.
One thing I really enjoyed were the warm bread pieces served on the side. Fresh, soft and just the right temperature - they added a nice touch to the meal.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Nothing over the top, but definitely a solid option for a well-prepared and satisfying meal.
I had high expectations for Mazaar, but the experience was thoroughly disappointing. We ordered the platter for 5, two orders of calamari, and a side of fries, and the bill came to a staggering $330. For that price, you’d expect top-tier food, generous portions, and an overall satisfying experience. Unfortunately, we got none of that.
The lamb chop was nearly raw in the middle, completely undercooked and lacking any real flavour. The rest of the meats weren’t much better, poorly seasoned and overhyped. Even the sides, which are usually a saving grace, were bland, forgettable, and felt like an afterthought. It honestly felt like more effort was put into the plating than the actual cooking, and even the presentation wasn’t impressive.
Overall, Mazaar was a major letdown. If you’re looking for authentic, flavourful Middle Eastern food that offers real value for your money, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. Food quality, taste, quantity everything was horrific. The lamb chops were served raw inside—completely unacceptable and unsafe. On top of that, the food lacked any real flavor; it felt like no effort was put into seasoning or preparation. The portion size was also surprisingly small for the price. Ordered plater for 5, but the rice portion was for two people. Please check the picturer for the referance. Overall, it was a complete letdown in terms of food quality, taste, and value. Definitely not coming back and would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent meal. If I could give zero star I would.
Mediocre, dry and tasteless food. Not worth the cost. Environment is definitely nice though. Try an authentic Lebanese restaurant instead.
Delicious meal
When I came in, the decoration was just okay—nothing special, like the food. The prices were high compared to the small portion sizes. The bread didn’t taste fresh and needs improvement. Staff service also needs work—they weren’t very friendly or helpful. This place has potential, but they really need to improve the food, bread, and service to match the high prices.

Very nice lunch specials and excellent service. 1:30pm on a non holiday Thursday is clearly a quiet time, but that's all we wanted this week. Kudos as always to the owner...only the pandemic paused our visits.
Food, music and staff are absolutely wonderful!
We had a wonderful time. Food was great; people and service were great. On that score, I noticed something that has long been a tradition at Mazaar's: "Hot food travels" -- meaning, that when hot food is ready, it gets brought to the table by any server, even if the main server is busy, that food travels when it is hot. Now, my only criticism on the evening -- and I would put the onus on myself, rather than our main waitress, was that the food came almost too fast. We had ordered the incredible lentil soup, which arrived at the same time as the salad and the hot bread. We should have requested that the main dishes be cooked a little later, as, soon after the salad arrived, so did the hot platters. We were talking and kibuttzing and finishing the soup, while the hot dishes were waiting, already served. N= No biggee!! We still had an incredible time. And we will certainly come again. Having the special dessert for our dear friend's birthday -- with the sparklers, and with Ray Manzerolle on the saxophone, made for just an awesome set of memories. So . . . THANK YOU to one and all at Mazaar's for giving us a wonderful evening!!!
It just comes down to the execution and quality of the food; it was just so-so. 1 appetizer, 1 hummus, 2 entree's accompanied by 2 glasses of wine with tip was $180 all-in with tip. Great night out but the value for the combined service, food, and value was truly just average.
First time here for 3 adults. Staff very friendly, helpful and efficient. Food was excellent. One person had Lamb Shank; there could have been more veggies with it. Other entrees were Chicken and Vegetarian Swarma. Both excellent. Desserts were Baklava, Chocolate date cake, good portion size. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.
