Mi Casita Restaurant & Bar

Was not impressed at all with the service, for one i showed up late to pick up my food and then was told the cook hadn't even started some of my order and the waitress didn't seem to care much at all and then I had to wait 20 more minutes for my order to be complete,when I got home most of my order was cold already,food was amazing once I heated it back up but you shouldn't have to reheat your food after a 6 minute trip home,I truly hope this was an isolated incident

The margaritas are delicious

The food was fine until I almost broke a tooth on what they tried to claim is a bone, felt more like hard plastic as you couldn't break it and if you bent it, the item would snap back into shape! Birria tacos yes, Birria tacos with what appears to be a piece of hard plastic I'll pass! The meal was comped which is expected but I won't be back.
Server was kind and helpful.
Atmosphere was pretty bad, we sat closer to the bar and at times we could barely talk amongst ourselves with the wait staff talking aloud so close to our table.
Lid for the ice machine slams so hard if you're not expecting it could easily be mistaken for a gun shot. When I approached the bar to address the issue with the item in my taco, I noticed an old uncleanly looking table between the kitchen and bar.
I lost my appetite and didn't finish my food.

The food and service were great! The waitstaff were incredibly friendly and helpful, as busy as they were, they all worked hard to get the food out promptly and provide great service. The owner, however, is a different story. He could be overheard yelling at the staff and having an overall negative attitude. I am appalled at this behaviour, the staff was visibly dedicated and hardworking, and did not deserve that kind of treatment. I would hate to know what else goes on that can’t be overheard by customers. As great as the food was, I cannot support a business that treats their employees so poorly.
To the wait staff: great job!
To the owner: do better

To be really honest, I wasn't expecting the food to be as good as it was. Birria tacos was delicious and filling. Cheese enchiladas are a great choice for anyone looking for a vegetarian option. Washed it all down with a pint of dos xx draft beer. The salsa and chips could have been better and prices are a bit on the higher end as well but cabt blame them because it must be hard to keep a business going in these economic times especially in a small city like Windsor. Have to go back to try a few other itmes on the menu.

Vegetarian options: Everything on the menu can be turned into vegetarian except for the flautas.
