10/10 service and vibes. We were seated immediately, service was prompt, best old fashioned I’ve had in a long time. Food is spectacular

We had a wonderful experience at Nico’s, and I’m so glad we finally checked out the new space. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, stylish, and inviting.
Two standout dishes stole the show. First, the fire-grilled seafood appetizer—shrimp, calamari, and octopus—was absolutely phenomenal. Perfectly seasoned and cooked over an open flame, it had that irresistible smoky, charred flavor that you can only get from fire grilling. I would go back for this dish alone any day of the week. Truly so freaking good.
We also shared the ribeye, which was equally impressive. Cooked over an open flame, beautifully done, and generously sized—I highly recommend it. Paired with a glass of Montepulciano, which was super dry and absolutely perfect with the steak, it made for a fantastic main course.
Service was great, and the ambience was lovely—comfortable yet swanky. My only (very minor and admittedly snobby) complaint: I started with a martini and was hoping for large olives, but they were the smaller cocktail kind. Not a dealbreaker, just a wish!
Overall, a fantastic dining experience. I can’t wait to go back, try some of the pastas I was eyeing on the menu, and next time sit at the gorgeous bar with a glass of wine and that fire-grilled seafood again. We will definitely be back. 🍷🔥

Excellent staff and food quality.
I paid my bill and I was going to leave in 15 minutes. As I was drinking my last sips of wine I was approached by one of the rudest individuals that I ever dealt with and asked me to leave as my time was up. I told him with all the places that l have been to I was never been humiliated the way I was humiliated here. He said; he doesn't care and I must leave now. This individual turned out to be the owner himself. Frankly, he was nothing but a street- thug, mannerless and rude. I will never ever go back again and will not recommend this place at all.
Beautiful interior, great vibe , unfortunately food is mediocre . Halibut for 2/4 diners cold, dry & over cooked, cauliflower puree delicious & also cold, fish portion skimpy , thin & definitely not worth price. We returned both plates- on second try halibut portion just as thin & skimpy but less dry. Shortribs were good but certainly not the best we have had . Their food game needs to match their decor & prices they are charging. Dessert was comped but for now would not return

The braised beef would have been better on the bone. The side of potatoes was in the form of a hash brown that had no business on the plate. It didn't work. I think it's usually on a potato puree which would have really balanced out the dish. The tempura mushroom appitizer had too much tempura taking away from the meatyness of the mushrooms. My friends dishes of pasta were all fantastic. Great service and great atmosphere. Other appetizers and desserts were on point.

Amazing new location. Drinks, arranchini, gnocchi and wild boar/lamb pasta all excellent. Expensive, but worth it for a special occasion. Beautiful inside. Cold near the windows though.

My husband and I and our son and daughter in law went to Nico Walkerville last week and it was a wonderful first time experience for us all. The atmosphere was beautiful. Very inviting. We had plenty of space and were very comfortable. The meals were divine! From the apps to the main course to the deserts and drinks and coffee! A#1! Would highly recommend everyone to go👍

The service and atmosphere were really nice. Very attentive staff.
The food was awful and took forever, like reservation for 630pm, food, cold, on the table at 800pm, forever.

Celebrated my great nieces wedding here on Friday. The staff were amazing and welcoming. The event ctr was laid out perfect to see all that was going on. The food absolutely delicious. If you are not celebrating an event here you can try their other restaurant near the river.

My date and I had dinner at the new Nico’s restaurant and were blown away by both the atmosphere and the service. The space has a modern yet welcoming vibe — a great addition to the area.
Our server, Isaac, was phenomenal. You could tell he’s relatively new, but he carried himself with professionalism and genuine care. He was attentive throughout the meal, made thoughtful recommendations, and really helped make the evening enjoyable. His attention to detail and positive attitude stood out — he has all the makings of a great long-term team member.
The food was excellent, the presentation was beautiful, and everything came out at just the right pace. Nico’s is definitely off to an impressive start, and I’m already looking forward to coming back. Big shoutout to Isaac for making our night such a great experience!

The new Nico’s located in Walkerville in the historic Walker Power Building at 325 Devonshire Road, is absolutely fabulous! What a great experience, the ambience is inviting, the décor outstanding, and the menu exceptional. I truly enjoyed the chef’s recommendation - the breaded veal chop was fantastic, and the salad with cukes was light, fresh, and full of flavor.
Nico’s has always been a cozy, welcoming restaurant, originally known as one of Erie Street’s standout dining establishments. Now, Nick P. of Nico’s has truly outdone himself - raising the bar for dining anywhere west of Toronto or in Southeastern Michigan.
Come experience their new location at Devonshire and Riverside Drive East, you won’t be disappointed
