Amazing new location. Drinks, arranchini, gnocchi and wild boar/lamb pasta all excellent. Expensive, but worth it for a special occasion. Beautiful inside. Cold near the windows though.

My husband and I and our son and daughter in law went to Nico Walkerville last week and it was a wonderful first time experience for us all. The atmosphere was beautiful. Very inviting. We had plenty of space and were very comfortable. The meals were divine! From the apps to the main course to the deserts and drinks and coffee! A#1! Would highly recommend everyone to go👍
Always a wonderful time at Nico. The new Walkerville space is gorgeous and the food is delicious as always. Always amazing service. Happy to have another go to night out spot in Walkerville.

The service and atmosphere were really nice. Very attentive staff.
The food was awful and took forever, like reservation for 630pm, food, cold, on the table at 800pm, forever.

Celebrated my great nieces wedding here on Friday. The staff were amazing and welcoming. The event ctr was laid out perfect to see all that was going on. The food absolutely delicious. If you are not celebrating an event here you can try their other restaurant near the river.

My date and I had dinner at the new Nico’s restaurant and were blown away by both the atmosphere and the service. The space has a modern yet welcoming vibe — a great addition to the area.
Our server, Isaac, was phenomenal. You could tell he’s relatively new, but he carried himself with professionalism and genuine care. He was attentive throughout the meal, made thoughtful recommendations, and really helped make the evening enjoyable. His attention to detail and positive attitude stood out — he has all the makings of a great long-term team member.
The food was excellent, the presentation was beautiful, and everything came out at just the right pace. Nico’s is definitely off to an impressive start, and I’m already looking forward to coming back. Big shoutout to Isaac for making our night such a great experience!

The new Nico’s located in Walkerville in the historic Walker Power Building at 325 Devonshire Road, is absolutely fabulous! What a great experience, the ambience is inviting, the décor outstanding, and the menu exceptional. I truly enjoyed the chef’s recommendation - the breaded veal chop was fantastic, and the salad with cukes was light, fresh, and full of flavor.
Nico’s has always been a cozy, welcoming restaurant, originally known as one of Erie Street’s standout dining establishments. Now, Nick P. of Nico’s has truly outdone himself - raising the bar for dining anywhere west of Toronto or in Southeastern Michigan.
Come experience their new location at Devonshire and Riverside Drive East, you won’t be disappointed

We had dinner on Wednesday evening. Nic greeted us at the front door. Place is absolutely stunning in all aspects. Well done. Mario was a great server. Tenderloin was large and perfectly cooked. What a great addition to Old Walkerville. One of the nicest restaurants I've seen. Congrats Nic wishing you all the best. We will be back.

I really, really wanted to like this place; but, unfortunately, I was so disappointed by the experience. First the good: the new restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The layout and design, the ambiance, the furniture -- all carefully executed and arranged. The kitchen is open and stunning. The front corner area of the restaurant even has a small but lovely view of the river and the Hiram Walker buildings and a small parquette.
Unfortunately, the food was really subpar, especially for the price point. We started with the arancini balls, which we shared, and had the Pasta alla Norma and the short rib entree for our meals. The arancini, while decent, was served only slightly warm -- not hot as it should have been, and the green sauce on top was minimal and had little flavor.
The Pasta alla Norma was a small plate of penne in a thin red sauce. I did not see any eggplant in the dish; there was only a dusting of grated ricotta salata cheese. Overall, the pasta meal had little flavor, and the serving was small -- I was still hungry after finishing it. And again, the food was not served hot, but slightly warmed. Not even close to being worth $35. In hindsight, I should have sent it back, but didn't see how it could be fixed.
The short ribs were ok, but the mashed potatoes underneath were cold.
No bread was offered. For dessert, we had the pumpkin cheesecake and it was just ok. Nothing memorable.
In addition, the cocktail menu was very limited -- I think there were only five options. I had the French 75 and it was adequate; my husband's Old Fashioned was watery. Though the service was good, the bartenders were clearly inexperienced, which is likely why the cocktail menu is so limited.
Overall, our dining experience was so disappointing. I really wanted to like this new restaurant (well, new to Walkerville). And we always want to support local, especially in our neighborhood, but I don't see us going back. It's a shame, because it really is a beautiful place.

Thoroughly abysmal. Spend half the $ anywhere else on food twice as good.

We visited Nico Taverna Walkerville Friday night, during their first weekend open, and everything was fantastic! The food was delicious, the service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere welcoming and lively. Congratulations to the staff— you’d never have known they had just opened.
Best wishes on your continued success!

Ordered the Brussel Sprouts, Cacio e Pepe e Funghi & the Octopus. Everything was good but we did wish the Brussel Sprouts were a bit better. It just lacked a bit from what we were expecting. We wished it was more saucy. Everything else was great!
