Nola's- A Taste of New Orleans

Service was great. Might have been the worst steak I've ever had in a restaurant. It was seasoned and cooked well but extremely tough. Practically inedible. Seemed like a really cheap cut of meat.

The food was a fun, upscale take on Cajun food. The oysters were fresh, crab salad was a great combination of flavours, and the Brie and lobster dip was delicious. Wish I took more photos of the food before digging in!The server was a kind woman who handled some of the more “unpleasant” members of our group. She was professional and had a great attitude through it all. Wish I remembered her name to thank her.

Went for my sister’s birthday. Drinks where great but the food was okay. Pasta was greasy and ravioli was underdone. My sister’s steak was pure butter. The servers where too friendly and it felt cheap in a way, the server’s shirts look like they worked at target and the looming presents of the I think manager was an odd vibe. I felt like the chiefs threw in the towel and the severs where trying to over compensate for it. My sister didn’t want her birthday well know and we all where uncomfortable for it yet our waitress couldn’t read the room. Nola’s was a good place. What happened?

Since Nola's was purchased from the original owner, the staff has gone south. It is more like being in a low class bar now. We asked the waitress 3 times to have the musician lower the volume of the music to no avail. When we paid the musician a $40 tip to lower the music, he stormed out of the restaurant. It all started with the bar tender barking for us to move to the other end of the bar when we were just trying to order a glass of wine while waiting for a table. It was my fiancé's birthday. It was a terrible experience. This was a Friday night. Other friends that had not been there wanted to try the Sunday brunch. A very hateful young man came over and told my fiancé they didn't want him in there because he asked 3 times on the previous Friday to have the music volume lowered so we could hear one another without having to repeat our conversations over and over. Needless to say, they lost 6 well paying customers. The food is decent but my fiancé is from New Orleans. So it definitely does not measure up to those standards. And the staff is terrible. I personally believe there are drug issue from what I saw of the staff. The irritability definitely presents itself as I need more drugs to be happy again. I sent a message via Facebook to try to rectify the issue. No response. Poor customer service is definitely a problem for them.

Me and my fiance went to Nola's for a special 'night out' dinner. Our food was riddled with issues from being served raw cornbread and unremarkable main meals. The staff was curtious, kind, and attentive if not a bit snooty about having to take back the raw cornbread.Would not return unless they had a whole new kitchen staff.

First time at Nola's, and what an ambitious charming place, that just needs to refine their service a bit, as it took well over an hour to receive our food after ordering. The place seemed to be about 1/3rd capacity during our visit, and by the time our food arrived, I wasn't blown away - but it wasn't terrible either.Crawfish boil seemed like it was missing something in the flavor, should have been more savory. Waffle and fried chicken had absorbed most of the sauce by the time I got to our table, therefore ended up being a very dry meal to consume - they should have put the sauce on the side. The breading in the fried chicken was lackluster as well.Again, the place has a lot of potential, but I started to think that perhaps they didn't have enough cooks in the back, and perhaps they were overwhelmed. The guests at the table next to hours had about 8-10 guests, and they didn't all receive their meals at the same time, took probably 15-20mins for everyone to get their food.

Celebrated our Anniversary by visiting this restaurant for the first time. Delicious food, great atmosphere, and live music. We loved our meal and experience, we will definitely visit again!

Absolutely incredible food and amazing staff! Our waitress was named Kelly and she went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed and checking in to see everything was as it should be. The hostess was as sweet as could be and every single thing was just perfect. Our food was so delicious and plentiful. Absolutely will be back with friends! Keep up the good work!

Went there for the first time last week, I so excited to try it after been wanting to for years!Got the crawfish boil, it was missing the corn and pineapple, and spices, but they did give us 4 little baby potatoes. We got the muscles too, they were… good.Was surprised by the lack of spices for a southern soul cooking restaurant.

Went a couple months back.Oysters were delicious and was recommended the steak. The steak was so tough I could not cut through and purple all the way through. Customer service was great but after paying over $200 I expected more from the main course.

Overall a delightful dinner! I enjoyed my Cajun Shrimp app and my Blackened Catfish was great to. The drinks menu has something for everybody. As a bit if a foodie I'd happily recommend Nola's for a wonderful prelude to an awesome night out! Way to go Nolas! CUDOS to Front of House and of course the Kitchen and your Chefs!

Went here this weekend and my boyfriend proposed. Food was great and the staff were absolutely amazing and very attentive. Went out of their way to make our night special. Definitely going again. Thank you!!

The whole time we were there the Manager was yelling at the cooks in the kitchen, loud enough that we could clearly hear what was happening. It's pretty clear that the staff is not treated very well.The food is super bland and took a long time to come out. This is a hard do not recommend

Service was lovely, and food was absolutely fantastic. Took a bit for the food to come out, but certainly worth the wait. The atmosphere is really nice, and the live music was good also.
