I bought the student special, which includes a free pop. As I was walking out, the owner stopped me and checked my bag, assuming I had stolen. I was confused and let him check, only to hear: “I thought you were stealing pop but you’re all good. People steal pop sometimes here so just wanted to make sure.”
There was no apology, no compensation, just public embarrassment. When I told him this was disrespectful, he raised his voice in front of other customers, saying, “How is this disrespectful? I called you over thinking you were stealing pop, checked your bag, and let you go.”
I came in as a paying customer and left feeling like a suspect. I’ve been here before, and to be treated this way shows a complete lack of respect for regular customers.
If a business is willing to embarrass and accuse honest customers in public over a $2 pop instead of handling things discreetly or professionally, it really shows where their priorities are. Definitely won’t be coming back.
Very disappointed with the food at Tecumseh Osmow’s. The fries and chicken were undercooked, and the portion size was literally half of what we usually get. My friend and I have been regulars at the Wyandotte location and never had any issues there, each and every visit was amazing. The quality and quantity at Tecumseh were far below expectations. Better to skip this Location 🙁
