Food is delicious. The portions are plentiful. Our new favorite spot. Don't forget to bring cash. The waitress was very attentive.

Food was a bit pricey for just gettingsandwiches, but was extreamly good. The bread was extreamly soft. The restaurant itself was a little run down and rather dated. So if you don't mind that, its a great quick lunch spot.

First visit the table was not clean .It still had unwiped syrup on and the ketchup bottle cap was filthy
Second visit wasn't much better

First time customers and can’t wait to return to try something new. We order the club on white and pastrami on rye. Wow! The bread had such a nice crunch to it, tasted great. Tons of meat, piled high on our sandwiches. Excellent flavours. We watched so many people order breakfast with piles of home fries, eggs and bacon. Can’t wait to return

This quaint little diner brings me back to the 80’s and 90’s every time I go there. The staff is attentive and pleasant, and the food is always satisfying. I love to get the Eggs Benedict with ham and home fries. Chef’s kiss, it’s amazing!!! The only drawback is that they only accept cash, which isn’t a deal breaker as long as you plan ahead. And it can get very busy, but it’s totally worth it.

We were heading to a movie and looked for a local restaurant nearby. We were so glad we took a chance on this family restaurant as opposed to another fast food option. Older style atmosphere but immaculately clean. Cash only but the food is worth the effort to run to an ATM if you were not aware. Excellent food. You won't go hungry. Lots of variety and expertly prepared. We were all very pleased with our choices. If you are in the area, you will be so glad you gave this place a chance. The service was excellent too. You can always tell when someone loves their job, and our waitress clearly loved hers. We will definitely head back when we are in the area.

It's easy to complain that it's cash only, however with the prices and portions I have ZERO issues going to an ATM first!
The Sandwich Nook is immaculately clean, staff are beyond friendly and very well mannered, portions are fantastic and food is superb. It is on the higher scale of a stereo typical Canadian "home cooked restaurant" that sadly we see less and less of. I've only been once, with my Aunt. She adores the staff and food, and she is treated like family. My Aunt has been telling me for as long as I can remember how great the Sandwich Nook is and I finally got to try it. If my Aunt recommends The Sandwich Nook I just knew it's going to be phenomenal, and it was. I had lunch, Navy Bean Soup and a Grilled Cheese. Next time I will be having breakfast. Highly recommended and wish I could give it more than 5 stars!
