The Saj bread and fries are the best I’ve had so far. I always have to ask for ketchup when I order fries because I realize when I don’t they never give. Besides that the service is great.

Attracted to the personality, stayed for the food. Finally eating Shelby's was like a dream come true to my friends and I, we were grateful it was open so late! By the time we finally crossed the border into Canada, we knew we were ready.I tried the traditional shawarma wrap, the Shelby's wrap, the shawarma bowl, and the churros. Shelby's was the first shawarma joint to ever have me order twice in the same night to have some left over. For my foodies who love leftovers, the wrap is still great the morning after and even a few hours after it was made (It was still warm!)The wrap melts in your mouth the moment you bite into it and you can feel all the flavours meld together. The spicy garlic provides the perfect kick that I didn't even need anymore! When paired with pomegranate molasses, it's the perfect blend of savoury.I recommend this to eaters who are looking to upgrade from your traditional lazeez and osmow's, there's so much more love and personality behind the food and the servers. From the cashier, to the cooks, to the founders themselves, they represent the blend of food that touches your tongue. They're passionate, humourous, and consistent with the inside jokes they share with their community. The food may be the main star, but the brand itself tells you how much Shelby's cares about their 'habby peoble'! :) I'm so grateful for the locations in Downtown Toronto, they carry the same flavour and love no matter how far they are from Windsor.Vegetarian options: You can remove the protein and add the Halloumi cheese or falafel, everything is seasoned to perfection so that you can feel like you're not being skimped out! Shelby's cares about all eaters, even if meat isn't the focal point :)Dietary restrictions: Looking for more protein? You can add that! Cutting down on carbs? Get the shawarma bowl! You could add more vegetables. TL;DR, totally customizable to accommodate your dietary needs!Parking: The parking is pretty tight and if you're lucky, you'll catch a spot. It's not so bad once it's past midnight, but keep in mind there are other establishments in the plaza!Kid-friendliness: The portions and customization make the products accessible to all picky eaters! The churros are also a great addition to fulfill a sweet tooth!

My partner and I just enjoyed a yummy supper at Shelby's. I had the beef/lamb wrap and she had the veggie Maqkluba. We thoroughly enjoyed them and she had enough food for a full meal tomorrow. If you like hot, fresh food, Shelby's is the place for you;.
