The secret ingredient of soul food is love! That's what you will taste at this restaurant. You'll feel it too with the good service.
My son & I had the smoked wings & pulled pork with fries, potatoes salad & Cole slaw everything was delicious and we could barely eat everything as servings were generous . Our server did a great job and Franks blonde beer very tasty . It's a 3 hr drive from our home but we will definitely return when traveling that direction .
Fantastic !! Natasha was great . The food was excellent, and the service was great ! I'm definitely going back next time in Windsor !
Love this place. The price is very fitting. Food is very filling and staff are very friendly.
I try to pride myself on being honest and I really enjoyed this restaurant. Some of the items are likely frozen but lets be honest. This is a smokehouse don't order chicken wings. The Que for two which I had last time was great and had a great amount of food but I wasn't crazy about the chicken. This time I shared the rib feast with my wife and it was sooooo tasty. The ribs were perfectly smoked, tender and the sauce was divine (I got the Memphis sauce) I loved the slightly sweet cornbread, creamy mac and cheese and of course the coleslaw.
We really enjoyed a family meal. Great kids meal offered. And bonus kids eat free with a regular priced adult meal. It was good bbq food. We enjoyed the family atmosphere
A stellar feast in a remarkably solid building, just look at the construction while you enjoy the food. It's built like things of quality used to be built. I kept ignoring my fiancee and baby son to admire the trusses. 2x6, 3 pieces thick, mighty, and magnificent. Would return.
Staff is friendly and the food is pretty good still. I recommend the El Ray or Southern Fried Fish if it is still available.
This place used to be a favourite but some of the menu items were taken off with a change in ownership. The prices increased but the food stayed the same or decreased.
The food was so bad . So bad . Don’t do it . Extremely dry . Horrible wings , ribs , pulled pork. The only good thing was Mac and cheese . Spent 80$ for us to not eat any of the food . Absolutely horrible . The food was brought out in 5 minutes from ordering . Def microwaved and def noticeable . Not barbecue. Not good food . Never coming back . Do not recommend
I absolutely love the atmosphere here! The El Ray is a slice of mouthwatering heaven.

We went to smoke n spice today for the first time. My mom has been before but it was my first time and I brought my two kids. Kids eat free! How sweet is that. The food was delicious and our service was amazing! I want to shout out our server Samantha! To say she was fantastic would be an understatement… she was patient and kind and so helpful! This makes all the difference when going out to eat with young kids. Thank you! We will definitely come back, even making the trip for
Amherstburg is well worth it!
Great bbq.
Food quality was great and the portions were more than enough, surprised by the price as well with all you got. Server was very nice and funny. Ordered the fish and rib platter for two and it was lots of food and delicious. Corn bread, beans, coleslaw and potatoes salad.
I had a terrible experience with the manager at Smoke and Spice on March 21 at 6:30 pm. I ordered a quesidilla, and they forgot the sour cream. I called to have it replaced, and she refused, stating there was nothing she could do but let the staff know for next time.
I also mentioned that there was no pico in or on the side, and she responded as if I were lying, saying pico is not part of the dish. I know it's just sour cream, but that's the whole point of ordering a quesidilla. The manager was very rude, making us feel like we were trying to pull a fast one on her. All we wanted was our sour cream. Afterwards I looked up the menu and it does say Pico but she insisted I was wrong.
Thankfully, we went to Taco Bell, where we grabbed a side of sour cream and, as a bonus, got some Taco Bell sauce. However, upon inspecting our order from Smoke and Spice, my husband noticed that his bacon club was missing toppings and sauce – it only had chicken and bacon.
At that point, we figured that since the manager wouldn't replace the sour cream and argued over pico, they probably weren't going to give us the lettuce, tomato, or mayo either. The food was cold and dry by then, making the $70 we spent a complete waste. To top it all off, we were insulted by the manager.
Food was meh. This place went downhill hard. Tenders were definitely from frozen, wings are tiny and dry. Coleslaw was great tho.
Service was slow and unenthusiastic and they advertised kids eating free, yet my *kids* who are 4 and 7 did not eat free. Yes, i purchased an adult meal, not a lunch special. $50 later with sub par food and feeling like a bother as the waitresses all sat and chit chatted at the bar. (There were 2 other tables in the whole place with people at them when wr got there and 4 others when we left)
Disappointed and will not be returning, sadly, it used to be my fav spot. Pic is of the leftovers for reference
