Used to love this place way back when it was on Ottawa Street. Then it just became mediocre. So after not being there for a couple years my husband and I decided to give it a try again... Well total disappointment. Food was dry and sides were almost cold. Waitress seemed like she was having a bad day and couldn't be bothered to check on us instead complained about life with a coworker tried to catch her attention and them just gave up. Honestly we won't be back. The food was definitely below par

Went for a birthday day. Now wishing I picked somewhere else. This was the second spot since the other was a long wait. The bathrooms smel worse the carnival portajohns. The food was OK but the place was dirty don't think will be back. The waitress was nice so that's about the only plus they had.

Glad they brought back the old style barbecued beans. The previous style was watery and unappealing. The food and service is always good. We're never disappointed.
Won't go back. Not sure what was dirtier, the windows or the floor. We asked for a window booth to have a view, waste of time lol. I started looking around and all windows were the same. Its pretty simple to detect and correct dirty glass. Made me wonder what the kitchen was like. The whole place seemed grubby like a run down road house. Food was mediocre, price was nothing special. Only good thing was our service.

Always loved this place. Great atmosphere, good food, and they now have my favorite specialty drink on the menu. We don't go out to dinner much, but this is definitely one I keep returning to.Parking: The restaurant is located near a small mall.Kid-friendliness: There is a kids' menu. The prices are reasonable.Wheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair parking on the east side of the building. I am not 100% sure if there is more on the other side.

My boss gave me a gift card for Smoke and Spice and I took my husband to dinner for his birthday. We had attempted to go when the restaurant first opened but we had plans so wound up going elsewhere. This was our first go and I wish we'd gone sooner.Husband had the ribs and pulled pork with waffle fries and I had the Hillbilly Philly with a goat cheese salad. We both truly loved the food. The spice on the fries was perfect. The brisket on the Hillybilly Philly was tender and the chipotle sauce added just that right hint of spice. The toppings on the goat cheese salad were abundant and there was goat cheese in every bite....just the way I like it.Our waitress was very professional and just the right amount of attentive.For any southern folk, the sweet tea is not sweet tea. It's fruit flavored run of the mill tea and that was a little disappointing. That said, we're in Windsor, Ontario and not southern Tennessee.I marked down one star for atmosphere only because after we ordered a family with two toddlers were sat behind us. It happens. I've had a toddler. The volume of the children and the shaking of crayons in a cup made it hard for my husband and I to hear each other. Not the fault of the restuarant, just a mark on the atmosphere.We will definitely go back.

For a chain bbq restaurant, this place is pretty good! Can you get the dinner for two and split it with our family having lots of leftovers! It's fantastic. We had ribs, pulled pork, wings, and chicken and enjoyed everything. Definitely worth a try.
