My friend and I are university students and were excited to try this café as a new study spot. We ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee, sandwiches, and smoothies. When I politely asked how the coffee should be poured, I was cut off rudely and I even overheard the server make a snarky comment about how I didn’t know the basics of coffee pouring which seemed unnecessary and unkind. The older lady and another staff member (blonde hair) kept staring at us, which made us feel very out of place.
We also noticed that white customers were treated more warmly and with better service, which was disappointing. For a place that serves Asian and African-inspired menu items, it was especially disheartening that, as an Asian person with my Black friend, we did not feel respected or included.
We came in eager to support a local business and enjoy a good study environment, but instead left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. This was a discouraging experience, and I hope the café takes customer service and inclusivity more seriously in the future.

Ordered the breakfast wrap. Semi decent taste. The mocha love with the whipped cream was also mediocre. The staff can also be a bit more welcoming.

Love this place. I come whenever I am in Windsor. Peaceful warm vibe. Their avocado lime smoothie is really nice. Tried it today!

Magical/unique place in Windsor with great staff.
Love this place. You'd never know some of the desserts are vegan and/or gluten free. They taste as good as, or even better than, the real deal. Good food, fun quirky vibes, kind people.

It's a quaint spot in Windsor, one of the oldest coffee shops. Regardless of your diet, you'd be able to find something to enjoy. If you are curious and like mysteries, there is a pin on a very large wall map... It's worth finding out a story behind it.

I personally for the longest time have loved and adored Taloola! It’s the vintage, vibey, locally loved and quaint cafe that is and always will be unique to Walkerville. The absolute best and favourite thing I will ever order from them is the Taloola for 2 meal combos because of its excellent value and price. Whenever we order it, it’s always a variation of the Roberto, Devonshire or Patricia Paninis (tip - get the panini over the rye if you want a bigger sandwich), the Greenhouse Dressing mixed green salad or African Ground Nut stew with a varietal of desserts (we get the date square and the lavender shortbread cookie). Every time we are beyond satisfied with this combo. We also loved their Breakfast Bagel and a cappuccino in their gorgeous cups on the patio or indoors which in my opinion is the coolest indoor spaced cafe in Windsor. Forever will love Taloola! Although I will admit the staff a handful of times could be a bit warmer and welcoming, but perhaps they’re trying to maintain that hipster vibe LOL
Also BONUS: their patio is dog friendly!!

Food was good. London Fog was great. The lady that took my order was super passive aggressive the entire time, didn’t even greet me. She didn’t hear me when I said oat milk the first time so I confirmed she heard me when I said vegan cream cheese, because I have a dairy allergy so just have to be careful. She said yes and rolled her eyes.? I can’t imagine being comfortable enough to be rude and passive aggressive to a complete stranger. Anyway the guy that brought out my order was super friendly.
