Tried Taystee for the first time tonight and I’m so glad I did. I’m pretty sure I was served by the owner. Friendly, accommodating and really passionate about his food. I ordered a fattoush salad with chicken shawarma on top, and they customized it exactly how I asked, leaving out the crispy pita since I don’t eat bread. I asked for toum on the side. Their toum is also really fresh.
The salad was topped just like a shawarma pita with turnip, pickles, all the good stuff, and honestly, it was the best shawarma salad I’ve had in the city. Fresh ingredients and a generous portion. Definitely coming back.
