This place has a good patio atmosphere and some of the best hamburgers in the city. I recommend the 'Barrel House' burger personally. And the 'Bam Bam Shrimp' appetizer. There is a great selection of draft beers too. I've been going here for years, especially when I want a guaranteed good meal with no hassle.

A bar-sandwich shop extravaganza! The Barrel House is one of Sandwich towns most amazing places for sandwiches and burgers with such amazing food. The wait might be a bit much, but the atmosphere, food, and service make up for it. Definitely one of Windsor’s finest establishments.

We visited during the construction phase and opted to sit outside. While it was understandably a bit dusty, the experience was still enjoyable. The patio offers a charming urban ambiance, and despite a slight sewage odor, the decor was well done.
That said, the food truly stood out. I ordered the Barrel House Salad (I believe that’s the name), and it was, without a doubt, the best salad I’ve had in Windsor so far. The rest of the meal was also very good. We will definitely be back!

We came here for my birthday. We had a party of 6. Everything we ordered was excellent the atmosphere was great and everyone enjoyed themselves. It's a hidden gem in the west end. If you haven't been you need to go.
I don't usually post negative reviews, but it seems that day was only about waiting everywhere we went, so when it came time to eat, we stopped by The Barrel House. We sat and ordered something to drink. After about 10 minutes, the waitress came to tell us that they got some orders to take care of before she could take ours and then left.. So we thought it might take 10-15 more minutes, but when she came back about 20 minutes later, she said the same thing again. So I asked her how much time before she could take our orders, and she then said "About 45 more minutes". We basically sat there from 20h15 to 21h05, only to wait for nothing. They could have told us that they had too many orders and we would have gone elsewhere. After all this shitty day, we ended up eating at McDonald's.

My mom ordered the french dip and I got the pulled pork sandwich. Food was cooked by Justin and it was amazing! Connor served my mom a Coke Zero and an iced tea and OV shell to me, OV was a perfect pour. For two picky diners, The Barrel House really delivered! Prompt and friendly service. Parking in the back is very convenient. The patio is a hidden gem, perfect for meeting friends as they have picnic tables or a date. Definitely worth the price as it is the same price for McDonald's and you get to support local. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Pretty long wait time for food but worth fries nice and crispy fries burger juicy and fresh french dip and au jus was on point only complaint was the caramelized onions were just really satueed still crunchy and food took close to half hour to come out while there was like 6 people in restaurant. Server was great I would recommend for sure .
