We hosted a baby shower at The Bistro at the River and it was absolutely outstanding. From the moment we booked, the entire experience was smooth, warm, and so easy to navigate.
The staff were incredible… attentive, kind, and genuinely invested in making sure everything went perfectly. The space itself is beautiful and created the perfect atmosphere for our event.
And the food… phenomenal. Guests are still talking about how delicious everything was. Several people even mentioned they’re considering hosting their own events here after seeing how beautifully the day turned out.

We had our wedding here at the end of May and it was perfect! The food was excellent, staff was amazing and you can’t beat that Detroit skyline for beautiful photos! Venue is perfect got 50 guests or less and ideal if you have a cross border family since it’s so close to the tunnel!

Great location right along the waterfront with amazing views of the Detroit River and skyline, but honestly, this place feels like a bit of a tourist trap. Service was great, and the bartender knows how to make a killer Long Island Iced Tea, but the food was a letdown, my burger was bland, and the bun tasted stale. Worth a visit for drinks and the scenery, but don’t expect much from the menu.

Today we went here with my friends to drink coffee. When we entered in , the waiter pointed us the first table (by her hand as if knocking the table which I found very rude)without welcoming us or saying something kind. During our stay she served us with a bad face, it was not only me who realized this. None of uf felt ourselves comfortable, her gestures and face telling us that she does not like her job but this is not my problem. I pay for service not to be threated like that!!!

Unfortunately, the service was quite poor. I ordered a Greek salad which arrived without any dressing at all. I also ordered a non-alcoholic beer, but they brought me an alcoholic one instead. Even worse, when I still had half of my beer left, the waitress who turned out to also be the manager came over and cleared it away. When I pointed this out to her, she simply denied taking it, even though no one else had been to our table. When I asked to speak to the manager, she said that she was the manager and kept denying both that she had taken my drink and that they had served the wrong beer in the first place. The only positive point was the nice patio and the surrounding atmosphere. But overall, it was a disappointing experience.
We ate lunch there two days in a row and the service and food was amazing!! We had shrimp appetizers' and the quesadilla then the smash burgers and we absolutely loved everything. Cant wait to get back there again. Even left the waitress a silver dollar tip because she did such a great job.

I come here with my family for the first time, the atmosphere was okay, but there were spider webs outside on the chairs and tables. The service was very low we had to wait 30 minutes before we could get our food. The food wasn't very tasty. I got a chicken avocado Sandwich, it had no taste at all the chicken wasn't very seasoned well. I don't recommend you coming to this restaurant.
