The Hook & Ladder Club Windsor

My friend and I decided to try this place out as we’ve never been here before for a drink. Unfortunately when we got there the bartender with the dead brown wavy hair decided to tell us one of our (very much real) government ID’s were fake… so we give a 2nd piece which she continues to call fake as well. Mind you these were valid health card and Ontario drivers license. As we were obviously annoyed with this accusation, she then goes on to call us multiple swear words and even approaches us as we got up to leave. Overall just a very embarrassing look for her and the establishment. Don't waste your time at a place that apparently hires just about anyone, no matter how clueless or unskilled they are.

I haven't tried the food yet, but I like everything else about the place

Had a great time at the Hook & Ladder Club.Very cosy bar with a restaurant inside called the Smoke and Spice BBQ. I ordered the smoke pork and it was very delicious.So much food I couldn’t finish it.The restaurant closes early usually by 8pm.

Went for fish today the tiniest piece of fish and fries that were cooked and deep fried again was terrible for 20 bucks

I recently returned to the Hook & Ladder after a long absence, and I was not disappointed. Our large group of friends decided to meet here for dinner and drinks before going to see a live play further up Seminole Street at the Kordazone Theatre. I made some new friends and invited them to join our group. The staff didn’t mind at all when I added two more tables to our grouping to accommodate everyone. My order of pulled pork sliders and fries was delicious and very filling. The coleslaw on the side of my plate was creamy, which was an interesting twist on the usual coleslaw that you get at restaurants. Beers are priced reasonably.

Best smashburger I've had at a restaurant in this city. And I've had nore than a few. SUPER friendly service, a hidden gem for Windsorites who want a great meal served with pride and respect.

I only went twice and I was impressed by many things. The food was delicious and huge portions for quite reasonable prices. I had a club sandwich and it was probably the best club ever. Fresh ingredients. The ribs smelled delicious and would try next time. The staff were super friendly. It has a comfortable atmosphere where groups of people can get together and have a fun evening.
