My family and I were visiting from the US and decided to take a chance on this restaurant. I’m so glad we did. The staff were very friendly, there were many options on the menu, and the food was fantastic. The owner treated us like she had known us for years and made sure my 3 year old had a fun, memorable dinner. We will absolutely be back to eat here again.

I was in tonight and received the most amazing service from the young waiter and the owner Catherine! She spoiled my Grandson and went above and beyond for us! Food was fantastic!!! Will definitely be going back!!!

A staple in Windsor, which is my go to for breakfast when there.

The dining experience was fine however since the change of ownership they removed all the steak options and only kept new york straps that cost 40 dollars that are filled with cartilage. I asked for shrimp and only got 4 pieces which felt stingy for how expensive it was.

Recently went to this restaurant with family for brunch and I am surprised at the lack of quality of food at the prices we paid. The pancakes were so incredibly dry and had a strange pepto chalky taste to them that made them inedible. There were crepes ordered at the table with blueberry sauce and it was frankly disgusting. The crepe tasted like a soggy bandaid and the blueberries were so bland. I don't understand - are they not tasting the recipes? Also I'm apalled that I was charged the same price for a side of hashbrowns as I was for a side of bacon. And the hashbrowns tasted a bit like freezer or leftover potatoes. This was so disappointing. I hope they take this review seriously and look at the food they are putting out.

Used to eat there frequently growing up. Have been twice in 2025 for breakfast in the last two months. I had an omelette and home fries the first time. Omelette was rubbery, I was asked if I wanted onions on my home fries and I said yes. The home fries had no flavour and onions were $1.25 extra.
Second visit was today. I ordered “flapjacks” they were stone cold, butter would not melt and they were so dry, they fell apart like dust when I cut in to them. Service was slow and not very friendly…..
what happened to this place?

Man the lumberjack has really lost its luster. My partner and I came here for some nostalgia and it sure isn't the Lumberjack of years gone by. The menu has shrunk quite a bit. Our favourite staples are no longer there (steak sandwich, burger on a ciabatta bun etc.). Our lunch was very meh. Portions were big, but it really wasn't worth it. It seemed like the microwaved dinner from the night before. And not even re-heated that well. The only saving grace was our server, who was very sweet.

Unfortunately, I don't see myself coming back and will rely on my memories.

I haven't been to this restaurant in years and I can't even remember why I stopped going, but honestly, I had the best clubhouse ever!! (REAL turkey, not turkey lunch meat)!
I also ordered potato skins which were almost the size of my hand!!

We ended up going there after the Windsor pride event, and they I had a rainbow layered cake made special for dessert that day, the icing was not too sweet but so delicious.

The service was quick and there were 7 of us that went. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the prices were beyond reasonable, for the amount of food that you got, none of us walked away hungry, and in fact, most of us took leftovers home!

They were not busy and it took over an hour to get food for two kids and 8 adults . Food was mediocre at best fries tasted reheated and cold. Portion sizes for the price were terrible . Waitress was all over the place even took our tray of drinks to the front door to seat guests . After reading reviews prior to going there i was very dissapointed.

Went for lunch and had a not so good experience.
first, the food took FOREVER even for a grilled cheese and it wasn't even that good.
Secondly, the waitress was juggling other customers holding our drinks.

I am visiting from Alberta & was taken to this restaurant by my sister Colleen. While we were ordering Colleen was stung by a hornet. Trelane, our server was absolutely amazing! She right away went to obtain first aid items & applied them to the area of the sting. Words cannot express how grateful we were for the care & concern she gave. Lots of laughs during the ordeal made a great atmosphere at our table. We will definitely be visiting there again. Special thanks to Trelane for all the help & amazing service. The free meal was an added bonus. We hope to see Trelane again
