The Lumberjack Restaurant

Came for lunch but decided to go elsewhere. The restaurant was dark and uninviting and in need of a good cleaning. Strong odor of something that had caught fire or burnt wood. Will never be back.

Good food, filling meals, nice staff, and decent prices.
My only complaint is the chairs. They're too small and the arms are like a vice grip on my butt.
If you can deal with that, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Was always are go to place when visiting Windsor ! Not anymore after last Friday, May 23rd, 2025 ! Very slow service and order was wrong . Hamburger was flavorless. ! Won't go back !

Short version: This restaurant is cutting corners and isnt worth the money. Long wait for subpar food at a high cost.

Long version: We are from Kitchener and wanted to eat before heading home. We chose this place and will never go back. There was unwelcoming, unprofessional staff that stood around the dining room, chatting and laughing loudly. This was definitely not the atmosphere we were looking for. The restaurant was almost empty on a Saturday afternoon which should have been a red flag but we liked the decor, which is it's only redeeming quality. We disliked everything we ordered except for the shrimp. The water tasted of chlorine, my salad was largely unprocessed (huge pieces of celery, lettuce, etc.) with a dressing that just tasted like mayonnaise. My daughter's milkshake was bland. Our waiter didn't offer us drinks but rather just brought us waters ten minutes after seating us. We eventually ordered a two-person BBQ platter and a shrimp appetizer and waited over an hour for our food. Everything was clearly frozen, cooked and over-seasoned with Montreal steak spice. The asparagus wasn't cooked at all, where other things were over-cooked, like the very thin piece of chicken. It was $130 for one meal and an appetizer, which is insane for the quality of service and food we received. We literally paid our bill and went elsewhere to enjoy a properly prepared meal. The waiters reminded us more of bouncers that someone hired straight off of a football field. My unsolicited advice to the owners: Hire better people to run this restaurant and stay away from frozen foods if you're going to charge as much as you are. Good luck.

Was there today at 10:50. It was not overly busy. I waited for a server, but had to ask the host for coffee and water. It took about ten minutes for the server to come by. The people at the next table were also complaining about the slow service. I asked the server if they were short staffed and she said no. I placed my order about 10:10 and it did not come out until 10:35. The food was barely warm and no sense in sending it back as I did not want to wait 15-20 minutes again. I was about to walk out when the food arrived. Been going there since the place opened and this is the first time, I have very disappointed with the service and to have a meal brought to me that was barely warm. What gives?

The place was filthy. Health Inspector gave them a very negative report. Anyone really think it won’t go back to the way it was?

food was always good but lately I have been missing items . Today was the last straw. Food burnt to a crisp. was ordered through skip. Many years of kitchen experience. I could never serve that food. They offered a refund but would keep an eye on your kitchen

New owners have made a positive difference in the quality of the food coming out of the kitchen!!

Do not eat here, this restaurant has cockroaches and is a terrible experience. My girlfriend and I had come for breakfast, and it took the server 25 minutes to serve us coffee from the moment we sat down. After ordering, our food took 45 minutes to come to our table. The food was cold and did not taste very good. At the end of the meal, my girlfriend and I spotted a cockroach climbing the wall directly beside us, in broad daylight, which indicates a bad infestation. Absolutely do not eat here, whatsoever. This place used to be good, but absolutely not anymore.

Pretty sad today my daughter went with friends at noon on barside and the waiter felt the need to make fat so called jokes and hurtful comments about her appearance This is disgusting we will never eat there again
