My mom and I went in a few weeks ago to order a cake for my sister's birthday. She moved out west and haven't celebrated with her in years. Upon arrival they told me they couldn't find the cake and the order got lost. Very disappointing. For this reason I will not be back and highly suggest if you go through this bakery you have a back up plan!

Conveniently located with a variety of desserts, but the items that I purchased were unfortunately of poor quality. I'm not sure if I got unlucky, but my carrot cake cheesecake and red velvet macaron were very stale and the dairy in my tiramisu had clearly gone sour. Additionally, there is another establishment in the city that carries the same carrot cake cheesecake, but I have never gotten a stale slice from them. I believe my experience reflects a quality control issue. I write this not with the intention to insult your bakery, but to bring your attention to a potentially serious problem.

My friend ordered a rum cake to bring for Thanksgiving dinner and while the cake looked beautiful it didn't taste beautiful. It was not good and very disappointing. No one enjoyed it and we ended up throwing it away.

Order a half slab Italian Rum Torte. Sorry to say it was the worst zero flavor cake I've ever tasted. No one liked it. We throughout 90% of it. At $95. Very disappointing.
I sent a private message to them about my disappointment and no response. No one I know will ever order from here again

3 rd and last time for me, they keep selling old desserts that should have been thrown out.

Got a banana spilt cake for birthday
Really good and fresh bananas with Nutella inside. Customer care can be a bit better and may be late hours.

We placed a Hot Wheels cake for my son's birthday, and they made it exactly how we wanted. Have been buying cakes from here for many years. They have by far the best cake. You feel like you want to keep on eating
It is so light and not frosting is not too sweet. The cake was made to expectations.

It was good, but now we order a cake for my son’s birthday on Tuesday, but they told us that it is not possible on this day because Sunday and Monday are for cleaning and the cake is not prepared.
Although I believe that any cake shop should be available whenever customers order if they do not want to lose customers

Recently bought these wonderful assorted pastries. The service girl was awesome and she recommended the best ones in the bakery. Price is decent

My husband bought 3 pieces of cake for my birthday which were $7 a piece and they were all very stale and hard and the taste was also not great. Very disappointed. We will not go back

My son turned 23 a week ago, but he is going to school out of town and I wasn't sure when he'd be home so we could celebrate. I had very little time to put together his birthday dinner and requested dessert. I called a couple of locations, looking for a reasonably fresh Black Forest cake and The Pastry Place & Bake Shop had one. I drove down there and picked it up, and had a pleasant exchange with the young lady working behind the counter. The dinner was beautiful and the dessert was the highlight! The cake was indeed fresh, which was more than I could have hoped for since I didn't have time to order it as I normally would have. Black Forrest cakes are not cheap, if they are made in a genuine manner and are not cheap knock offs, so do your homework and don't walk in there expecting to get a really good cake for 20 or 30 bucks. I was very pleased and I look forward to a good excuse to return here as soon as I can!

I ordered an Italian rum torte for my mom's birthday and it was amazing! super fresh, everyone enjoyed it.

Asked for a Birthday cake for my daughter. Told the girl on the phone I want exactly what is in the photo I sent. Very simple. Adding both pics of what I wanted and what I got. As soon as I saw it was wrong I said “but I sent a pic to copy!!!!” The gentleman said he felt bad and was sorry but couldn’t change it because it would ruin the top if he tried. I said she’s going to be upset because she’s really particular and I just wanted her to be happy with it. He apologized and I paid. Had my phone number and email if there was any question as to what he should have put! And to top it off the pic is printed letters and the cake is cursive then printing and barely fits and barely legible. Very disappointed. Would have liked for it to be fixed.
