My husband and I eat at Tommy’s quite regularly. He loves the ribs and I love the chicken fingers and fries. The cornbread muffin is always a very nice treat. The food is always plentiful and very delicious. The staff is first class.

The beef ribs are so big and delicious you were think you were in the Flintstones!
This place is so good that we take a road trip just to enjoy it.
The ribs are the best I’ve had anywhere. The deserts are amazing and the service is great.
You must try it here.

The coleslaw is exactly the same deliciousness as the Tunnel BBQ that I remember!! We got the ribs (pork), chicken and kebabs (good but a bit dry). Can’t wait to go back!!

Ordered the Beef Ribs with sides, and corn bread for delivery. The food arrived hot and the driver handled it with care. Thank you kitchen, and everyone involved.
It was finger licking good.

We shared a rib & chicken combo for 2 and the portion size was excellent, the ribs were lean & very meaty (delicious). The chicken seemed dry as if it had been re-heated. Overheard another waitress say that there would be an hour wait on chicken or ribs which we found odd during the supper hour. There was no drink menu (weird) and the menu itself seemed plain and dated. Especially the appetizers. The waitress was not overly hospitable. Ordered dessert and wasn't even asked if we wanted coffee - - - odd! The cheesecake was amazing! Would I come here again? Maybe.

We went to Tommy's for the first time today to celebrate father's day. The inside was clean and tidy and seems well maintained. We ordered Chicken and ribs, the ribs were very meaty and delicious. However, the chicken was a bit dry, almost like it was chicken left over from the day before. Overall though we were very happy with the food including our desserts.
The wait staff is a different story though, almost all of the wait staff seemed like they were near the end of their career and very miserable and just no personality at all. No small talk, no upsetting on desserts, or coffee, no recommendations even after we told them this was our first time visiting the restaurant. They definitely need younger, friendlier wait staff who strive to make sure people walk out having the best dining experience possible.
If this wasn't bad enough, before I decided to write this review, I decided to read through past reviews and notice that the owners dont bother replying to any review given, which shows that they have 0% interest in what their customers think or feel. I don't know whether we will visit again. We may give them another shot and see if the service is any better for our next dinner out.

I want to begin by saying that I’ve never felt compelled to leave a Google review—until now. This isn’t due to the food, which was excellent, nor the servers, who were equally wonderful. The issue lies entirely with a gentleman who appeared to be in a position of authority: grey hair, glasses, and wearing a Tommy BBQ shirt.
During our visit, my family and I were disturbed by how loudly and harshly he addressed his staff. His tone and volume were so inappropriate that we could clearly hear him from our table. Still, this alone wasn’t what prompted me to write this review.
What truly motivated me was a separate incident I witnessed a day later with my husband. I found myself behind the same individual in a Tim Hortons drive-thru. It was a pleasant day, and my window was down. To my shock, I heard him berating the drive-thru employee—who couldn’t have been older than 15—over a mistake with his coffee order. He was raising his voice, threatening that such an error would be grounds for firing if it had happened in his business. He made it a point to say he was the owner of Tommy BBQ multiple times while still wearing the branded shirt. When I pulled up to the window the poor girl looked almost in tears, and said he is a regular and everytime he comes through, he is like that.
As a fellow business owner with a loyal clientele and strong staff relationships, I can say with confidence: mistakes happen. How you handle those mistakes, especially in front of others, reflects your character, leadership, as well as your own business morals. Speaking to employees—your own or someone else’s—with such aggression doesn’t foster respect or loyalty. It drives good people away.
I sincerely hope this message reaches the staff at Tommy BBQ. If this man is indeed the owner, please know this is how he speaks about staff even outside the workplace. To be told that a simple mistake could cost you your job is not only demoralizing but deeply concerning. If you’re being treated this way regularly, I hope you find the strength and self-respect to seek employment where you’re valued and supported.
