Windsor's Penalty Box Restaurant

I don’t usually leave 1-star reviews, but this experience really deserves it. The portion sizes were shockingly small for the price. If you’re going to charge $25 per person, at least make it worthwhile. The chicken delights have shrunk to a snack size, and both the fries and sandwich came out cold. I specifically asked for half fries and half salad, but instead I just got half the portion altogether. This place used to do much better, but lately it feels like the quality and portions have been cut back while the prices keep going up. Disappointing and not worth it anymore.l

C'mon, everyone knows this place. Great food with good prices, a friendly staff that is always ready to serve.
It does get busy there and can get a little noisy. That's the only reason for the lost star on atmosphere.

Came here with friends, our server acted so rude to us. I got there a little late, so they were all ready to order when I came. I’ve been here a lot, so I also had my order ready. Server came by, my friend tried to order, and with full audacity and rudeness, the guy looks at me and tells my friend who’s mid-order request, “Wait. I need to introduce myself first. Hi, what’s your name?” He says this (and make no mistake, I’m not exaggerating), in the rudest tone I’ve ever heard, with attitude as if he was cutting a child off.

My friend is much older than I. He doesn’t even look close to a kid. Why did he even feel the need to introduce himself? I do not care, and my friend was already mid order. Then, for the rest of the time there, even as we asked for the bill, he treated us like foreigners, giving us that salty attitude, and annoyed face. Keep in mind we have only been respectful to him. I was smiling the whole time, even apologized multiple times when asking to change the salad, trying not to lash out in disappointment. We speak perfect English, born in Canada, no accent. The discrimination was insane. Safe to say, I will not be returning ever again if this is the treatment I and my friends receive for not being of a certain race.

After traveling to Windsor for work, a coworker and I stopped in here for a quick lunch... all I can say is PHENOMINAL! Clean, lively, friendly restaurant/bar in the heart of the Rose City. I highly recommend the Crispy Chicken Delight w/ Fries and Gravy! I will support this Canadian business again soon.

Phenomenal – simple as that.
This place came highly recommended by my cousin, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Michael, our server, was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and full of great recommendations. We went with the fan favourite, the Chicken Delight, and wow… it truly was everything people rave about.

The Greek salad and fries? Top tier.

The entire staff was warm and welcoming, and Michael really made our experience extra special. This is 100% a spot we’ll be coming back to whenever we’re in town. Honestly, one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time.

You don’t even need my review to know how great this place is — just go. You won’t be disappointed.

Clara is one amazing waitress and the food was amazing.. I came down from London Ontario to see family but this experience made my trip so much better..
