We went for breakfast with a large group and found the waitress very pleasant and the restaurant was clean. The bacon was so overcooked it was barely edible. Next is the part that pissed me off. No individual bill so we all go to pay and now the prices that we were charged are higher than what the menu showed. We will not be a repeat customer nor would I recommend this restaurant. Felt like they were price gouging our large group.

I love coming here: the family owned feel coupled with good food and great prices make it a must try place. A touch off the beaten track but worth the extra minute or two from downtown!Parking: Parking lot down the side always has spaces!

Have the opportunity to come out yesterday in the bad weather with my two brothers for breakfast those are usual thing on Saturday morning I thought I'd change up having the basic breakfast and go with two pancakes and coffee it was my turn to pay and I wondered why two pancakes cost more than bacon and eggs home fries and coffee and toast didn't make any sense I want it back just to cut down on about a food didn't realize it was closer to $9 for two pancakes $12 for three does seem a bit odd pancakes don't cost that much you might want to have a look at that pricing Chuck Wagon owners other than that the service is great food is delicious but I'll go back to the regular Saturday morning breakfast special thank you

Hubby and I went for breakfast yesterday. Was never so disappointed in the quality of food and pricing. I ordered bologna and over easy eggs and hubby ordered hungry man's and 2 coffees. I received mine eggs were hard cooked waitress sent back they came back lots of yolk and slimy. This really turned me off from eating I did not want the eggs after this. We received our bill nothing taken off for the eggs I didn't get. Bill was $40 for breakfast. If a chef can not cook a bloody egg he shouldn't be in the kitchen. Way over priced for garbage food would not recommend to anyone. Barnyard Rest and truck stop I would highly recommend.

I used to visit the Chuckwagon whenever I was in Woodstock. The atmosphere is a diner, which I love. The service is friendly and fast. The food is decent.Where the Chuckwagon lost me was the price. I had eggs Benedict, It was $16.99 (already pricey!). When I ordered, the server asked me if I wanted peameal bacon, to which I answered yes. In my 50 years I have never had eggs Benedict without peameal. On the bill I was charged an additional $7.99 for the peameal. $24.98 for breakfast??? Additionally, one dining companion ordered bacon and eggs with no potatoes and was charged full price. The other person's meal was missing food that was listed on the Today's Special board. The server said you had to specifically ask for the items listed. You'd think they would have knocked a few dollars off.Just for comparison, eggs Benny at my local place in a Kitchener, including peameal, is $15.95I have a hunch they must have changed ownership. All of the prices are considerably more than the last time I was there. Unfortunately that will be the last time I go to the Chuckwagon.

Next time I go for a meal here I will just order water as my beverage. The food quantities are good. The food tastes great. The beverages and appetizers are over-priced. Over $3 for an iced tea is too much to pay. Appetizers in many restaurants are generally $9.99 or less but my appetizer cost me $14.99. Bring beverages and appetizer costs down please. The atmosphere is great and the staff are very friendly.
