I ordered dahi balla from there. They have added so much red chutney to dahi balla that all you taste is that. I have added more dahi to dish myself to make it eatable. I also ordered kulcha from there and it was good.

Wonder quality of food I had here. My favourite chilli paneer and garlic naan. Both taste amazing but make sure you let them know the spice level. Restaurant staff is very humble also. Definitely recommend this place. Only street parking is available but check the hours before parking

Stopped by for lunch and honestly, the food was amazing! When we first arrived, the place was completely empty, which gave me a bit of concern at first. But after tasting the food, I had to ask our server why it was so quiet. She explained that the construction outside has been keeping people away, and it definitely makes sense after seeing it myself.
If you’re hesitating because the restaurant looks empty — don’t let that fool you. The quality of the food here speaks for itself. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Hands down one of the best Indian restaurants in Woodstock! The food was absolutely delicious — full of flavor, fresh, and perfectly cooked. But what really made the experience stand out was the service. A huge shoutout to Muskan for being so friendly, attentive, and just genuinely kind. She made us feel super welcome and taken care of from start to finish. It’s not every day you come across service like that. My husband just picked up order from here and we ordered chicken biryani and chole bhature. There was no air conditioning in the building he waited there for the order even we came after 20 minutes. We are okay to wait as long as the food delivers. All we can taste is black pepper which is added afterwards. Its taste super stale. We looked at the reviews we thought it should be good. We used to get food from empress all the time. I don’t know if its the cooks but the quality of food has totally been vanished since it turned to taj.we went back to get a refund .Girl upfront was really sweet it wasn’t her fault but she apologized.

Every dish was a complete letdown, lacking in flavor, poorly prepared, and utterly unappetizing. I had high hopes, but the quality was shockingly bad. This was an incredibly regrettable dining experience, and I strongly advise others to consider alternatives if they value good food.

THE best Indian around. I have been to the best of the best in Toronto and Taj is right there. Yes, it’s the best in Woodstock! I have tried every other place in Woodstock (and surrounding area) and was blown away when I tasted their food. “FINALLY! I don’t have to go to Toronto for this level of Indian cuisine.” On top of that, staff are amazing. Thank you, Taj, for bringing great Indian food to Woodstock! Much love.

Everything was excellent, and the meal and service were outstanding. Even though they were closing when we arrived, they still served us, and the cuisine was, in my opinion, the best of all the restaurants I've been to.
