The server was attentive and the look of the place was great, but the food was very underwhelming across the board. The french onion soup was underwhelming, as was the pasta with a red wine sauce that just wasn't reduced enough. Burger was meh. Really wanted to love this place. Maybe a good place for a pint, but would held elsewhere if I were hungry.

This was my first time dining at this establishment, and I came as part of a group. We were seated near the center of the dining room, which gave us a clear view of the lively atmosphere. The space had a warm, inviting ambiance, with hanging lights casting a soft glow and a constant hum of conversation that added to the energy of the evening.
Our server, Victoria, was attentive and personable, taking our orders promptly and offering recommendations with a smile. I decided on a glass of Pinot Grigio and chose the peppercorn mushroom Swiss burger with fries as my entrée.
I’ll admit—I’m not usually a fan of mushrooms, but I wanted to step outside my usual choices. To my surprise, the mushroom Swiss burger was far more enjoyable than I expected. The sautéed mushrooms brought a silky, almost creamy texture, giving the burger a richness that balanced the savory beef patty. The patty itself was cooked well, though not especially memorable, but the melted Swiss cheese added a nutty depth of flavor that tied everything together. The bun was fresh and slightly toasted, sturdy enough to hold the burger without being dense, which made for a satisfying bite.
The fries were classic—crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside. They did cool a little quicker than I’d have liked, but they still had a pleasant crunch. In contrast, the burger held its heat throughout the meal, which I appreciated.
The Pinot Grigio was a bit sharp on the first sip, leaning more bitter than I usually prefer, but it opened up nicely after a few sips, becoming a refreshing complement to the richness of the burger.
For the table, we shared a spinach dip appetizer. Some felt it had a bit of heat, but for me, the mild kick added welcome character. The dip itself was creamy and well-seasoned, with a balance of cheese and spinach that made it easy to keep going back for another bite.
Overall, it was an enjoyable evening. While not every element was flawless, the meal was satisfying, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere made the experience feel special. I’d happily return to explore more of the menu.

We were a group of 6 celebrating a birthday. When ordering drinks first 3 beer choices were out of stock, Stella, Keith's, Beaus. When we went to otder food we were then told they were out of all steak and beef stew.
This was a dinner reservation for a birthday. Extremely disappointing.
The steak comes from Norpac. Easily could have been picked up in Norwich.at any point Saturday.
First time guests. 1 server working on a Sunday night dinner service of a long weekend. She was hostess, bartender and server. She did VERY well considering it was a busy evening. Management needs to do better and have more than one server scheduled. She was strapped and overwhelmed, but kept smiling and powering through. I hope her efforts are recognized and appreciated.
Food was good. Nice atmosphere but the poor management and the poor lone server took away from the experience, we just wanted to jump in and help her.

Loved this place in Woodstock!
I recommend the fish and chips, spinach dip and calamari! The best best part is that there are gluten free options available for my mother in law! Thank you for the great service and food.
I would come back here for sure. :)

Some of the same complaints I had that others reviewers had. Under-staffed, fries were cold, steak sandwich was tough/dry, service was very slow/non existent and the prices didn’t justify the experience. Disappointed to say the least.

The place looks great, well laid out, plenty of seating. The evening we were there they had a great jazz blues band. The food took longer than expected, during our wait I noticed the cutlery was a pressed style steel that you might find in a low end fish and chip shop. I wasn't impressed with the food, ordered the buttermilk chicken sandwich, the bun was burnt on the inside, the portion size was good. Other items of note, how can a nice pub spell Alexander Keith's wrong on their menu. No fault of the restaurant but the street closures made it very difficult to find the place. I used Waze for directions with difficulty.

this spot has a cool industrial brick atmosphere and friendly staff! the food has always been pretty good here :) a couple vegetarian options, not bad for a smaller menu. their $10 grilled cheese is cooked to perfection, the fries are amazing and my partner loves the chicken wings! their dill pickle flatbread was fairly small for $20, but you can get a side of fries and a drink for under $20! it’s a good spot to catch up with friends or family. i really like their red sangria too :)
