Me and my Wife drove 30 minutes believing we’d be eating. We tried calling earlier to make a reservation, no one answered. When we got to the location, the owner told us there was no dine in, we asked for takeout and he ignored our request and told us to go somewhere else. Waste of time, rude and wouldn’t put it past the idea some of the reviews here are fake. The place looked abandoned and rundown and lied about them being open online. Avoid this place

Incredible dinner before rush of the summer season! We had the slow cooked lamb and braised beef cheeks - both mouthwatering and fall off the bone. The owners were very sweet and service was excellent. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a high quality, special dining experience. A rare gem in rural Ontario!

Quainte restaurant in the lovely Woodview. Food was spectacular. Only about 4 - 5 tables available so reservations necessary. Not overly private but still nice. Had the braised beef and my boyfriend had the lamb. Will be back again for sure to try everything else on the menu! Limited alcohol menu of beer and wines but not the reason to miss the enjoyment of the food!

The ambiance exuded charm, and the chef's culinary skills were truly remarkable.We savored the delectable seafood soup, which was not only amazing but perfectly portioned. I took my Aunt and Uncle here for a meal, and was amazed by the food, service and experience! The prime rib I had was possibly the best I've ever had in Canada (frequent visitor from the UK). I contacted the restaurant initially via email as I'd seen great reviews and, as there no online menu available, they took the time to send me pictures of a menu! I will certainly be going back next time I'm over in Canada! Can't recommend it highly enough!

Quaint restaurant in a beautiful setting. Found this spot by chance on a drive & loved our first dining experience so much we took 2 other couples to enjoy it with us this year. We highly recommend the drive but be sure to make reservations. Looking forward to next time!

We brought friends there for dinner last night , August 13th. My husband had the braised lamb shank, our friend Mike had Prawns and Scallops…my friend Barb and I had the Prime rib…everyone of us loved the food…it was amazing. Service is warm and efficient and the owners pay attention to detail…can’t recommend this dining experience highly enough! Anne and Eric

Only 4 tables so were lucky to get a reservation. Lovely little place. Braised beef and trout were delicious….as were the lemon pie and cheesecake!Loved watching the hummingbirds at the feeder.Will be back!

We had a great evening there last night. Shared a Caesar salad and glad because it was a large portion. One had the pasta and loved the amount of cheese. I had salmon with wild rice. Salmon was cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside and just a little more than medium inside. Johnny was very personable and a pleasure to chat with. Lots of locals coming in to pick up take out orders. If you’re sitting by the window you’ll be treated to hummingbirds at the feeder. Will be back again when we return to the area. Definitely a gem.
