We were out for the day, me, my wife, and our three boys, 12, 9, and 6 respectively.
My wife and I enjoy Indian food but we weren’t sure about the boys who prefer more plain food.
We gave it a try and Raja exceeded our expectations in every way.
First, the food was excellent. There was a huge variety in the menu so it was tough to pick but we got butter chicken, chicken korma, garlic naan bread, spring rolls, samosas, basmati rice and shrimp biryani.
The boys enjoyed it all. The spring rolls were excellent and the samosas were the best I ever had and my wife agreed. The potato inside was cooked perfectly and the spicing was great too.
The chicken Korma was great, a little sweet and very smooth. The butter chicken was traditional, not too greasy, not too thick.
The shrimp biryani really shone, as did the garlic naan bread. The biryani had some spice for the boys but they handled it well and naan bread and spring rolls took the heat away.
So that’s the food, it was fantastic, perfect introduction for our boys.
Service wise they were great. We did have the advantage of coming in right when it opened but the employees were smiling and seemed very concerned we enjoyed the food. They made suggestions like having yogurt salad, which tasted like tzatziki sauce, with the shrimp biryani which was a great combo for the bit of spice in the biryani rice, though my wife swore by adding the chicken korma sauce.
We were very thirsty after a hot day but they kept us topped up and left us the pitcher when they saw how much we were having.
And the price! We got 6 spring rolls for 7 dollars! I didn't think restaurants served appetizers besides soup under 10$ anymore. We bought rice for 6 dollars and the chicken for more and shared it with the family. So do think about your order as a bit more family style than everyone having to get an entree.
This all sounds super glowing so I’m trying to think of something not too like. I suppose the air conditioning could have been a bit better. The decor was muted and minimalist which we liked and it is well lit through big windows without the sun blasting at you. But if you wanted it loaded with Hindi pictures or art you would be disappointed.
We eat out fairly often, probably too often, so I’d say if you enjoy ethnic food, even only occasionally you should try this place out. If you’re not sure what to order ask your server and they’ll be able to give you ideas.

I started giving order with few dishes and it was so good that i wanted to order more and more. We asked for some dishes which was not on the menu but still he prepared for us. Thank you again.

Honestly, one of the best food experiences I’ve had in a long time. The food tasted just like something you’d get at home – warm, comforting, and made exactly to our liking. What made it even more special was the owner. As we were parking, he actually came out and asked if we were here for the restaurant. Even though they had already closed, he reopened just for us, cooked everything fresh, and served it with so much care. It really felt like we were guests, not just customers. Also, big thanks to Irwin – he was super helpful and made the experience even better. Truly grateful for such genuine hospitality

It was great dining at Raja Indo Chinese restaurant, they were too sweet and accommodating, they served us food even after their closing hours. Everything we ordered was great, but chana masala was the best, so we ordered it again. Lassi and Chaas were also good. Definitely recommend it.

Thankyou Irwin - The restaurant was closed yesterday -we were stuck in a terrible snow storm . Irwin opened up despite the kitchen being closed and made us a wonderful turkey burger and a clubhouse sandwhich … when conditions kept deteriorating outside he greatly assisted and found us a place to stay in the village for the night … amazing food ! My husband can’t stop talking about the turkey burger … and service !

Ordered tandoori chicken, butter chicken, rice and garlic naan. I’m a huge Indian food lover and I’ve never gone out of my way to leave a review on a restaurant that I didn’t like, however, the food really was not pleasant especially for the price, so I’d like to save the next person the disappointment. The butter chicken tasted like tomato soup, the tandoori chicken did not taste like tandoori chicken whatsoever, it didn’t even have the tandoori red, albeit it wasn’t bad per se, it just didn’t resemble or taste like tandoori. The naan was ok but the pieces were extremely small. The butter chicken comes without a side too which is very uncommon. I’ve actually tried different locations of this restaurant and been disappointed each time, I should have known but was craving some Indian cuisine, won’t be making that mistake again!

I recently visited Raja Restaurant and had a delightful experience. The fish and chips were absolutely amazing, crispy and perfectly seasoned. The shawarma was also tasty and satisfying, though the fish stole the show. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience. To top it off, the masala tea was fantastic—perfectly spiced and a great way to end the meal. Overall, a wonderful visit, and I’ll definitely be returning!

We ordered the special dinner for two. The tandoori chicken was raw. When we cut it open blood pooled from a vein in the thigh and the meat was red and raw. We left without continuing the meal. Disgusting
