Located at The Barn which is a covered food truck dining experience with taps. This peanut mood with chicken was delicious and portion was plenty for two meals.

Food was really good when I started eating here months ago, but on multiple recent visits the food has been pretty underwhelming.

i absolutely love this place!! the thai tea is amazing, my fiancé usually hates thai tea and claims he relates the taste to wet wood. The first time I bought my thai tea, he drank almost all of it! I love the mango sticky rice too, it’s nice and hot and the mango is amazing and sweet! They definitely deserve more love!! Sometimes we only come to the barn just for their amazing food!

So this is another food cart at The Barn at Hickory Station. As my partner eats at only one cart (due to her gluten free needs), I'm working my way through all the others to see which one I like best. This time I tried Big Sisters Thai Kitchen.Honestly, it was neither great nor bad. I opted for the Basil and Beef Fried Rice. I got what I ordered. It was somewhat spicy, but not overly. I prefer heavily spiced food, but I the heat level was probably appropriate for the primary influx of people. I did ask for it to be Extra Hot, though. I also realize that businesses who use heat will often times downplay their heat level because of being burned (pardon the pun) by customers who demand hot foot but then complain that it's "too hot."The food was as advertised; it was basil and beef Thai fried rice. I didn't find anything particularly special about it, but it was hot (temperature wise) and there was a lot of it. There was plenty of cilantro and basil, to cut through any of the spicy heat, and there was a good amount of beef. You're able to customize your protein choice here: chicken and tofu are included in the base price, but beef and shrimp are available for a surplus cost. All in all I got what I paid for and wasn't disappointed. I wasn't super excited either. I'd definitely come back here if I had a desire for fried rice, but I wouldn't necessarily see myself coming here specifically to eat at this food cart.

Food decent, but getting your food will take forever regardless of what you order. On multiple different occasions we have waited almost an hour for our food (regardless of how simple the item or how busy the barn is). If you want to enjoy a meal with others DON'T order here or you'll sit and wait for your meal while everyone else enjoys food from a different cart.

Really nice people, wish I could say something more positive, but a dish that I have enjoyed numerous times in the past, is nearly inedible these days. The orange chicken has a nice flavored sauce but I have issues with the extremely small bits of chicken being used. These small bits of chicken are breaded and fried so hard it's like eating a shoelace that's been coated and fried. I used to love this dish and would order it every time I went to the Barn. Please, even if you have to raise the price, use bigger pieces of chicken or don't fry it so hard. Thanks

I started going to Big Sister Thai because my roommate always talked about how great it was. And he was right! It’s one of my favorite places to eat now.

Ordered 2 things, got Thai iced tea and mango sticky rice. Thai iced tea was great and 5 star by far. Always love a good flavorful Thai tea. Mango sticky rice was awful. The mangos were super tough and not very flavorful at all. And these was an insane amount of the sweet milk but there was almost no rice. We got it to go and ate it at hone and just out of curiosity we measured how much rice we got. Little under 2 tablespoons of rice and at least 1/3 cup of milk that we could pour out so that was not including what the rice had absorbed. The 2 main parts of mango sticky rice is mango and rice and the mango was horrible and the rice almost just wasn't there. The rice was also really tough. I like it dense and to have some chewy firmness but this was like tiny erasers. Sweet milk was good, just way too much. Will be back for Thai iced tea but this was maybe the worst mango sticky rice I've ever had and it is my favorite dessert so I have had a lot of it.
