Great food. Has some unique options, like chicken and waffles. Also doesn't have as much of a wait as other breakfast places in downtown.

My boyfriend and I have been coming here since before it was JoJo Macs. Let me just start by saying, we love to eat locally. We try to support the local small businesses over corporate food establishments anytime we can. The food at Jojo Macs has never disappointed us, ever. We are trying to make our way through the whole menu. We eat breakfast here once a week and lunch when we can. The portions are large enough to split into two and take another meal home. Today we had the black truffle eggs Benedict and the Chicken fried steak. Both were fantastic. The restaurant gets full and it’s a family run business, so sometimes you’ll wait a bit for your food. Totally worth the wait. You are getting a hand prepared meal made with commitment to the customer. If you want quick, pre prepared, generic food. Go somewhere else. If you want great food at a fair price then give them a chance. Oh and for all the other reviewers complaining about the service, we have no issues with that either. Some people need to work in the food service industry before they complain.

This place is my family's favorite. We always take extended family from out of state here and many have said it's the best breakfast food they've ever tasted. I've been here over and over again and the food is consistently delicious. The atmosphere gives off a very small town cafe vibe; I always feel a bit like I'm in stars hollow when I step into Jo Jo Mac's. Though the service hasn't been reflected very well in other reviews personally I haven't ever had problems. In fact, the owner was kind enough to move my party to a different table so we could be closer to other family that arrived later for breakfast.I've been here so many times, I don't think I have enough room to talk about every good food I've had here. However, I will address the ones that stand out the most to me. The southern beignets are served with a rasberry and lemon curd, and maaaan is that stuff good! Another highlight is ye cottage potatoes, that come as a side with a lot of meals. They are salty and crispy with a soft middle, a great addition to a breakfast sandwich. A more savory entree option that is my other favorite is the Eggs Benedict, it is absolutely delicious. My family's other favorites are the banana fosters French toast, shrimp and grits, and the OG.A great breakfast spot with a wide variety of sweet and savory southern breakfast classics. I 100% reccomend!

Food is delicious. Sadly, I have been in 2 times and waited 10-15 minutes was never acknowledged or greeted. I will not go back.

First timer and already left a receipt review for 3 stars based on less than stellar service from server who would not smile, then had a few other thoughts. Asked for 1 egg with B & G breakfast and received 2. Asked and server said they come as 2 for $3; seriously, can you not do 1 for $1.50?! Lol!! Portions are huge to begin with, so I just took the other egg with the other half of my biscuits and gravy home for today. Thus paid for two breakfasts at $14, not too bad. However, just seems like there could potentially be a lot of wasted food here. Maybe do a half order for like $6-7 and you might need less boxes? Maybe its there and i just didn'tsee it?? Gordon would not like the food waste, the drip buckets (yep, you read that right) or the severs attitude. Brunette gal at checkout was fine, but felt unwelcome otherwise. To go order next time!

This is probably the best southern food you can get in the area. If you're hunger for some good, house made comfort food, this is the place for you.

Came here because our original destination was slammed. Sat down quickly and got drinks but food took about an hour to come to the table. Food seems priced fairly for portions but portions are far bigger than any one person could eat in one sitting and food would not be good warmed up at home. Beignets were covered in powdered sugar straight from the fryer so they came to the table wet. Should have been patted dry or something to reduce oil so the sugar didn’t turn into a paste coating. Curd was really good though.

If it's Southern order it because it will be good, anything else not so much. Shrimp n grits great! Pulled pock and mac n cheese great! They brag about Legendary french toast & they have a big sign with a list of syrups like strawberry, guava, blackberry, etc... but if you order the french toast the only option is maple syrup. To be honest the french toast is nothing to brag about, it looks better than it tastes. Sadly the owner lady has the personality of a gnat. As I test I asked what grits were and the server dude said he did not know but thought it was some type of grain. LOL

Good food. No atmosphere at all. Needs some perking up. Nothing inviting. Uncomfortable chairs.

The food was excellent! The mac and cheese is amazing. I got it on a burger, which was delicious. Great options for kids. Breakfast and lunch cafe. Super friendly employees, but service is very slow. Would come again though!
