Looking for a dive bar, this is it, bartender was perfect, busy and professional and friendly, drinks were poured perfectly and great value, go back in a second!!

Atmosphere is what you'd expect for a place called Pops Branding Iron. An Albany institution. Food is decent, on the diner side. It is always busy and loved by locals. Been going there for many many years. My wife remarked that Pops is the place we were at when she first felt our first of 4, unborn child move. That was 44 years ago. It goes back further than that for me. I grew up a few blocks from there. Had breakfast there if I had a few bucks saved up from my paper route as a kid. I hope it never closes.

I arrived Tuesday at 4pm to eat supper a overstimulated waitress greeted me a little after waiting to be sat. They did not have what I wanted on the menu. She was not very pleasant. I will not, be back to spend money were some one makes me feel not welcomed at all.

This is just a wholesome place to get breakfast or lunch and meet your friends to catch up. The people are kind, and the food is decent. We sit in the back room and take up a few long tables, when we meet with large groups of people.

Sick from food day after they were closed ,apparently must have tried to serve food that wasn't kept cold sick 2 hours after eating then ok next day . Costumers are a who's who of drunks with out a clue .

Food was okay for the price. The atmosphere has improved greatly on cleanliness since I was there last but I still don't plan on going back anytime soon.
