Our server, Michelle, was a Doll & made sure everything flowed perfectly - Even though the place was hopping for the breakfast rush.Food was very good & portions were old fashioned - So we had plenty for a 2nd bfast at home alone too :)

Roger's is a small, local-owned cafe that brings back good memories of hometown cafes when I was a kid! The food was great, and my husband enjoyed it as well.

The gravy is from a can. Gross ?. Why people think it's good is beyond me. They don't even make the mash potatoes. It's from a bag only old people eat there cause there taste buds are gone. They should put money into the food and booths with holes in it. Really Boyd's coffee?? Lots of local Albany places brewing fresh coffee. They even buy there pies from Safeway. If looking for cheap food from a can you MIGHT serve your dog it's for you. Born and raised oregonian. This place was good possibly 20 years ago before the new owners took over it, now it's just worse. Really can't make gravy? Wow

We try to eat here once a month. It's probably the only restaurant where we make the effort. The choices for sides is awesome with the breakfasts. If you ask for the biscuit, which almost floats away, there more than happy to put gravy on it. German sausage is great. Omlettes are fluffy. I'm getting hungry writing this. 8-9 you can probably get in without waiting for a table. Parking can be rough when it's busy. A lot of singles eat there. Very friendly people eat at the counter.Parking: About 15-16 spots around the restaurant with parking in the back. Also, they park on the side street, east side

It's not at all surprising to me to see how many stellar reviews Roger's has gotten. I went on a date here the other night with my partner who has been going here since they were little. The atmosphere is fantastic, with a welcoming retro American diner appearance. The staff is playful, kind, and very attentive. I know we're just two of thousands of customers but staff made us feel special and seemed to really enjoy taking care of customers. The food is fantastic. My partner got a Philly cheese steak and I got the biggest pancakes I've ever seen and biscuits and gravy for breakfast the next day. We split a slice of apple pie and a scoop of icecream to top it all off.I rave about this restaurant now and anyone who wants a filling local bite, you can get breakfast, lunch, or dinner during any open hour. This is where I'll be taking friends for casual catch ups.Kid-friendliness: We didn't bring children, but a family came in and their kiddo was offered a paper for coloring, and staff were friendly and playful with them.
