We absolutely loved this magical restaurant!
Celebrated our second anniversary there Friday evening.
The ambience is outstanding, the food delicious, and the cocktails inventive and outrageously good.
And thanks to the lovely Deleen our experience was perfect!
Having now eaten at the other ‘must go to’ restaurants in downtown Albany, I can say without hesitation this is my favorite by far for a great evening out! Reservations highly recommended, however we arrived quite early for ours, and were very happy to sit at the bar where we thoroughly enjoyed sharing several courses.
Really looking forward to going back again and trying more delicious items from the menu.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

It’s such a cool experience to tuck into this cozy spot and have the most delicious meals. Each dish has its own distinct flavor and is always the perfect size. Everyone working here is always wonderful and each of their personalities come through when chatting with them. It feels like they love working here.

First time experience and it was absolutely worth it. We had some tapas (burrata) some drinks and a truffle cake ?! We sat at the bar and the service was great. Both the tapas and dessert were delicious. You need to try that chocolate cake ?. So good. ?
We didn’t have reservation and it wasn’t a big problem but I would say reservation is best to secure a table.

We were recommended this place by a couple of friends. We had been really looking forward to going and went last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I'll start with the positive; the drink quality, selection, and creativity is top notch. The atmosphere is really cozy and fun. However, where things went south is the food and service. I ordered the Bistro Steak and my wife ordered the manicotti. Despite being medium rare, I found the steak to be incredibly tough and under seasoned. The mashed potatoes were an odd dark shade compared to a typical mash. They quite literally were the worst mashed potatoes I have ever had. Clumpy with a lovely undertone of dirt flavor. Based on the flavor + coloring, I have no reason not to believe they missed washing and skinning the potatoes prior to cooking. To top all of this off, they lost our ticket and we waited over an hour to get out disappointing food. The staff apologized and were kind about the whole situation but still when the bill came out to $130 for two people, I just expected a lot higher quality from this restaurant. If you're just going for drinks I would still recommend this place, but you'll be thoroughly disappointed if you stay for dinner.

First, I’d like to start off positive. The place is absolutely charming. I love the red theme and the decor. The waitress was also lovely.
Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was not ideal.
After ordering we were offered Bread, we thought it was complementary however when the bill came it was not. The food took forever, it took so long that we had to cancel our plans that we had after dinner. When the food was brought to us, the salmon dish was delicious, but unfortunately, the other two dishes were disappointing. We ordered steak tips and we did not receive steak tips we received sliced steak. Although the steak was cooked to perfection, it was cold. So was the sauce on the side. And the mashed potatoes were so salty they were inedible.
We ordered dessert and coffee, we received dessert, but never the coffee. When it was time to pay the check we asked for individual checks, but we were given checks that were split to the wrong amount. I was really looking forward to going to this restaurant however the food was disappointing and I felt like I wasted my money.

Best place in town for a date night! The atmosphere is wonderfully romantic. The food is amazing. The staff are very nice, but maybe a little inexperienced. Overall, if you want a nice place to eat to bring a date to, or celebrate an occasion with a partner, you can't go wrong with Sweet Red! A gem in Albany!

Everything about this place was amazing. The drinks, all the staff that kept checking on us, the brussel sprouts, the hatch dip, the manicotti, the chicken cranberry dish, the cheesecake. Even the coffee was top notch.
Only negative was that we should have made reservations and had to sit at the bar. Kinda tough on my short legs, but the bartender kept us entertained.

My grandmother & I came here for dinner and had a fantastic experience. They have an extensive cocktail menu for every taste. The food was amazing as well - from appetizer to dessert. The service was top-notch; our server was Macy & she was very attentive as well as extremely helpful in guiding us towards items we would enjoy. We also had other staff members regularly checking in. The atmosphere is lively and fun. We also appreciated that they kept some historic charm of the space. So great to have a place like this in Albany. I would recommend making a reservation as they are a very busy spot! Can’t wait until my next visit to Oregon & will definitely be back to Sweet Red’s!

My Mother and I came in this evening to celebrate Mother’s day early, because she works a 12 hour shift tomorrow and we won’t be able to celebrate, we waited for around 5-10 minutes at the door just to get skipped by people without a reservation that just showed up. Very unprofessional, will not eat here again. Absolutely worst service.
Date night dessert. They were very busy, but were able to fit us in. We had excellent desserts, which is always consistent at Sweet Red. Their butter cake with strawberries was excellent!

I had no idea this was the best restaurant in Albany, Oregon! From the atmosphere to the cocktails, appetizers, meals, and dessert, the experience was flawless. We were blown away by the firecracker shrimp, and thankfully, we split both that appetizer and the tomato bisque because the steak, mashed potatoes, and brussels sprouts were so good we ate every bite, barely leaving room for creme brulee and coffee, but we got it done.Truly the very best in Oregon!
