I have lived in Portland for two years now and I can honestly say this is the best sub shop. If you’re looking for a regular sandwich shop where they actually put full toppings on your order this is the place. It’s not like all the other overpriced sandwich shops in Portland where you pay $20 for sandwich and get 1 Kraft cheese slice and one Oscar Mayer Ham slice ???. For real this shop is better than any chained sub shop and local sub shop.

Over $20 for a near meatless sib and soda. $23 to be exact. I get inflation but at least out a fair amount of meat if you're charging the same amount I pay at Outback Steakhouse for a steak dinner with the fixins... Also, nowhere to sit inside take out only. Priced way to high for a sub not nearly even as good as subway

I'm an ex-Philadelphian, raised on Italian "hoagies", and I love Monkey Subs of Aloha! The sandwiches they make are incredible. Thanks! ??

Want an old-school hot pastrami sandwich? Look no further! These are very hard to find out on the West Coast. Great sandwich, great taste, great service.

I used to love this place, when I worked a few doors down at Miller Paint. Had a TBA today and was saddened by the poor quality, flavorless bacon and so-called "wheat" bread, when it was once the bread and other top-notch ingredients that made Monkey's so much better than any other sub shop. It's now a dirtier, run down version of a Subway, at three times the price! Huge disappointment! Save your money and go to Jersey Mike's. With so many other options for sandwiches, and at $18 for a foot long, they'll be out of business soon.

The fact that they took the lull time to clean the shop is an absolute yes please. You could smell the freshness of the subs and that everything was clean. Bearded dude was awesome and nice in taking our order and The Happy human with the Kool beanie and Coloured Hair was an absolute joy to talk with.It was nice to see the support of the Aloha Warriors and community. This Shop I know has been here for quite some time and it is good to have this kind of longevity. The French dip was amazing, warm, soft bread, the meat was tender and juicy and the Au Jus was just right. Thank You!

Listen, their sandwiches are fantastic. They’re sizable, very fresh, with good ingredients. And when you order in the store they’re really nice, and they work quickly. So why the poor review?Their online order/takeout/delivery app vendor ChowNow is *awful.* I’ve had multiple orders I’ve needed to abandon and just drive to the store and make in person because the website couldn’t process an Apple Pay order, or the App couldn’t, then couldn’t process a Visa payment, or claimed I already had an active order when I tried to make a new one. And you can’t call in your order; it routes again through ChowNow. And if you click on “Contact Us” for support, you might have the result I did where I made the drive to the restaurant and placed a new order with cash, before ChowNow ever responded. To top it all off the prices through ChowNow are at least 15-20% higher than in store. The broken order I was trying to submit through the app totaled roughly $57. I just paid in store for the same order roughly $48. For the additional cost ChowNow is driving into the orders, no one is getting any service that I can see. A complete shambles. And yes, I’m rating the store poorly even though these are ChowNow issues. It was Monkey Subs decision to partner with them, they ultimately own the outcome in deciding this is how they want to do business.

My husband came in and ordered two sandwiches, a monkey wrench and a turkey, bacon avocado with cheddar cheese. When he got home, I had the turkey, the cheddar cheese, but no bacon, no avocado. He even had it written down on a piece of paper, and even stated - don’t forget the avocado. This is horrible service.

I received a footlong Monkey Wrench that just had wayyyy too much "Monkey Juice" (Jalapeno Juice) on it and unfortunately the bread was so saturated that it was much too soggy to even be considered edible...So, I called the Aloha store, and spoke with Elmo, explained the situation and he quickly and professionally took care of my order by re-making my sandwich to perfection!? You guys ROCK! Love this place!
