Barley Brown’s Beer is a must-stop spot if you’re anywhere nearby. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, with great people and a laid-back environment. Their beers are tasteful, full of flavor, and truly satisfying—hands down, their Pallet Jack IPA is the standout.
They don’t serve food here, but that’s no problem since there are plenty of great places to eat nearby. Come here for the beer and the vibe—you won’t be disappointed. Definitely worth the stop!

I love this establishment! It’s perfect for a casual date night but also easy to bring your group in for a celebration. The atmosphere is comfortable & visually interesting, the menu has something for everyone, is delicious & consistent & the cocktails match the menu and are easy to pair with your palette. This was absolutely amazing. The waitress Shelby was phenomenal in helping my parents with their selection of Beer. And the food was amazing! I had the Salmon and it was delicious, but the mashed potatoes were the star. They were so creamy and absolutely delicious.

Food was very good. Service was good. Gave 4 stars, because (and I recognize this is kind of my own pet peeve) the receipt calculated and suggested tips for the customer.
The old building was really neat, though. Especially enjoyed the coffered ceiling (see photo). There may have been a plaque there explaining the history of the building, but we didn't have time to look. If there isn't one, there should be!

I felt I needed to update my review of barley Brown's in Baker City, Oregon. I have nothing more to say than I love this place. I always stop through here on my travels. The pallet jack IPA is world famous and totally delicious. Julie had the coyote peak wheat and also felt completely amazed. The food is great, the atmosphere is genuine, and the beer is world class. Do not miss it!
