I felt I needed to update my review of barley Brown's in Baker City, Oregon. I have nothing more to say than I love this place. I always stop through here on my travels. The pallet jack IPA is world famous and totally delicious. Julie had the coyote peak wheat and also felt completely amazed. The food is great, the atmosphere is genuine, and the beer is world class. Do not miss it!

Great place for dinner or a drink in Baker City. I usually get the Reuben. Food isn’t over the top good, but it is solid. Nice atmosphere, kind staff. Definitely a local hangout.

Ordered the Reuben which was very greasy and not very nice. Asked for a side salad instead of fries; was charged an extra 3 bucks for a bunch of lettuce and a pile of shop bought croutons (and wasn't told about the extra charge). Waitress was OK -- but didn't ask whether I wanted another beer and just dumped the check on my table. No effort to interact with me -- very transactional. Recommend you skip this place.

I really like the vibe of this place! It's very down to earth, dark inside with wooden seats and tables.
Not only does this place have really good drinks, but the food here was yummy as well!
This was the first place on our road trip where I tried country fried steak and it was amazing. The perfect thickness and size of meat, the Gravy was flavorful, I honestly had no complaints.
My boyfriend got the steak and really liked it as well. He said the steak was nice and tender.
We had some drinks with dinner and I really liked the boozy hot chocolate! It was cold outside so this was smoothing and not too sweet.

My wife and I were passing through as we always do from corbett to see my family in Idaho. We were definitely excited to see this place open after 9pm and not stuffed full of drunken obnoxious kids on a Saturday!! We were super impressed the moment we walked in... (our first time here) if I can recall our waitress was Candice. She went above and beyond to serve us! She deserves a raise!!!!! She recommended the bangers and mash (I've never had it but always wanted to try it) was incredibly good! My wife loved her Mac and cheese! She said it was the best she's ever had!!! The fried green beans and beer cheese.... amazing! We will be back!!!!

Great little spot in town! Beer was great, not super hoppy, but really well balanced and refreshing. Got the salmon salad. The salmon was cooked perfectly and really enjoyed the homemade dressing! A little pricey but now a days, what isn’t? Very clean bar and wait staff were very nice. Seemed like a lot of older folks in there but could have just been the time I went it. Will definitely be back when I’m in the area and will recommend to anyone headed to Baker City. Love from Southern Oregon ?

Visiting from Canada on the way to Zion. Ordered a Reuben sandwich. It was good. Tried ordering it in other restaurants on our journey. Realized by the time we got home that the best Reuben in America is at Barley Brown's (where they also have awesome beer).
