Noteworthy details: The motel employees were very attentive and friendly. The restaurant had great service and food not often found.

I stay here every year. It's a decent place to stay with great accomodations. Teresa the desk receptionist is great and makes you feel welcome and your stay enjoyable. It's the only hotel I stay at in Baker City and I've been to all of them.

Basic motel.Pros:Upstairs big rooms have two queen beds.Generally clean (not so sure about the carpet)Fridge & microwave (both VERY small)Small dining table with 2 chairs in the room.Comfortable beds, much better with extra blankets (thank you housekeeping)Friendly and helpful staffBreakfast at diner on site was good; very limited selection of food included. Otherwise $2 credit toward other menu items.Cons:Generally needs more upkeep.Getting shabby with ripped carpet on outside walkway, lots of exterior peeling paint.Tripping hazards with uneven steps to upstairs and uneven pavement. No bedside tables or bedside lampsNot a lot of outletsThin blanket and cover-cold without more blanketsLighting = one floor lamp & small table lampAll furnishings cheapo and wobblyOld carpet that needs to be deep cleaned or ripped out and replaced with wood or tile that can be easily cleaned.Freestanding clothes hanging space with those horrible hangers where the hanging part stays attached to the bar. And not enough of them. Bring your own hangers.

Step back in time when it was a simple, laid back occurrence. The room was simple, clean. The bed was firm. Cute, quaint rooms. Let me tell you it was quite. You get a free breakfast coupon with your stay as long get what’s on the coupon. The diner was fabulous. Brought me back to my childhood. Food was very good. The service was friendly. This is truly a special place. A true jewel.

Food & drinks: Restaurant has that old diner feel, which I love. Food was great at a decent price. The service was fast and excellent. My waitress, named Feather, was super nice and personable. Best waitress I've had in a very long time. Kept my water filled without having to ask. I will purposely come here whenever I pass through, every time.

The inside of the restaurant was old and shabby. The coffee pot looked like it had never been cleaned and had a dark patina of old burnt coffee. The coffee from the dirty pot was as bad tasting as it looked. The hot sauce on the table was watered down. I ordered breakfast as breakfast is generally a safe choice. The eggs were okay and the pancakes were rubbery and burnt. The only positive I can say is they were out of clam chowder and I'm glad my brother in law was unable to order clam chowder. I think he got lucky. I would not ever eat here again.

We went only for breakfast to the restaurant. Therefore this review is for food, service and location.FOOD: the food was good and you can tell that it is fresh. In my opinion, the coffee was not what I would prefer but that can vary in every opinion. I would’ve preferred a little stronger than what it was. I had the CFS for breakfast and it was a good portion.SERVICE: We had the pleasure of a very friendly and hospitable waitress who was personable and keen on making sure we had everything we needed.LOCATION: It is located in the heart of the town with other amenities and shops all walking distance.
