Delicious hidden gem! We are always on the hunt for great local fresh food and this place did not disappoint. Small and quaint atmosphere and great portions. We had the Cod and Chips - fish was extremely fresh and firm, batter was crispy and well cooked so it wasn't holding a bunch of fry oil. Also tried the Clam Chowder - thick and creamy, full of flavor and pieces of clam. Not full of potatoes like some places. Highly recommend and we will be back.

The employee at the counter greeted me with a very, very bored stare at 3:30 pm when I came in to get a to go order. I got the cod fish and chips with clam chowder. While efficient, she WAS BORED. Didn't greet me or anything. She livened up when I put a nice tip in the jar but only for a second.
Seriously, get a different job if you hate this one sooooo bad.
That said, the clam chowder was divine. The cod, just okay. The tartar sauce of which I ordered extra? TOO SWEET UGH.
Do better, Fish and Chips Chowder House AND Bandon by the Sea... If you want to use the ultra worn out excuse of not being able to find enough help? Give it up already then. Bad employee vibes are awful for everyone.
There is NOTHING WORSE than traveling the whole day to get to a hyped up destination and be treated with complete indifference.

The food was amazing! We were a party of six and everybody thought their food was delicious. I had a fish taco with three large fillets in the taco. One taco was enough and it was fantastic.

The best fish & chips I've ever had! If you live near Bandon, come here-the only bad thing is the wait is about 25-30 minutes...
We had the Ling Cod fish & chips basket with coleslaw. The fish was incredible, fresh firm and hot. The coleslaw was a tiny serving but the addition of cranberries to the salad was a special touch that acknowledged another local product.

Waited 25 minutes for meal, then I had to go up and ask for our order. States on menu get garlic bread or coleslaw got neither. Host was rude.

You will wait an hour for your food to be ready. The staff isn't the most chipper. However, the crab sandwich in my opinion is well worth it all. Don't forget to tip! They are a small crew and it's nonstop here. Be patient and enjoy the view while you wait. I will definitely be back again!
