Stopped here while riding the Transamerica bike route.
Had a great breakfast sandwich and chat with the owner. Much needed sustenance for a stretch of road without many resources.
She mentioned they do let cyclists stay in the field behind the store, but only if they’re around so definitely check in with them before pitching your tent.

Stopped in for lunch and was so impressed by everything! LOVE that the food is actually homemade, the tri-tip in the sandwich is so tasty and the pie was fantastic! The atmosphere feels so cozy and inviting and the outside seating is really nice. Mindy was so friendly and getting to hear the history about the area and the building was really neat! I'll def be stopping in next time I'm out there!

Austin house has nice clean, comfortable atmosphere with local antique decor. The food is awesome. Recipes are just enough different from common to be unique in a delicious way. Desserts are like a little slice of something heavenly. They’re all homemade and there’s always a variety, in addition to the various selections of hard scoop ice cream that’s available. Yep, this is one of our favorite places to eat. Prices are reasonable. Considering how far they are away from food supplies, it’s amazing how low the prices are. Service is great and usually done with a smile, even on hectic days. Their catering is also some of the best this side of Boise.
Everything on the menu is prepared with care and flavor in mind. The hosts are attentive and friendly. Even if it was in the heart of a city I would seek this lone ranger restaurant out for any meal. Do not leave without a piece of German Chocolate or huckleberry pie, it pairs perfectly with the handmade milkshake alongside a tri tip sandwich.

So greatful a coworker invited me out to dinner this evening. It was my first visit here, I will be back. It was schnitzel, spaetzle and cabbage for dinner...outstanding home cooked meal. I had my first ever pie of huckleberry pie...the pies are so perfectly crafted they do not even look real. The staff are helpful and friendly. Thank you for a great dinner.

Mindy and Marc are amazing chefs. The food is so unexpectedly (unexpected because the restaurant sits so innocently along a deserted highway) absolutely fantastic. Leave room for dessert!
