We are so fortunate to have a clean, congenial and very professionally managed Hola restaurant in Camp Sherman! We eat there often and I think the food and service are consistently excellent. The tamarind margaritas are super. I especially recommend the chile relleno, carne asada and shrimp enchiladas. I would like to see a change in the halibut tacos because I generally love that meal, but feel that the amount of halibut in the tacos is insufficient. The halibut quantity is measured by weight and it is just not enough, especially for the price.
This restaurant has seen a number of managers over the years, and in the past I was unhappy to see food stuck in the outdoor metal table tops and I wouldn’t sit outside. But these past two years under the current management that issue was remedied with a regular table cleaning program. I am very happy to see that change.
Service is always excellent, - professional, fast and so accommodating. The staff do an amazing great job juggling the often large groups of diners in the summer. They work so hard and are organized and efficient! Thank you for your obvious dedication to keeping your customers and giving us a very pleasant dining experience in the beautiful Camp Sherman setting.

Hesitant to go because of the 4.3 rating, but this was a really good restaurant. Food was fresh, service excellent. We got guacamole made fresh at the table. Delicious. Not many options in this area so we will be back.

Bring Greg Back!

We’ve been coming to this restaurant every summer for the past three years, and it’s become a tradition we truly cherish. A big part of that is because of Greg—our favorite waiter, who always went above and beyond. Greg connected with us on a deeper level than just service. He was warm, genuine, and made every visit feel special.

We were saddened to read some harsh reviews recently, and honestly, they don’t reflect our experience at all. Yes, it gets busy around 5:00–6:30, but that’s true of any great place—especially in today’s world, where so many places are short-staffed.

The food is consistently amazing, and the natural setting adds to the relaxed, welcoming vibe. This restaurant isn’t just a place to eat—it’s become part of the heart of our summer visits and a comforting part of the Metolius/Sisters area community.

We’ll keep coming back, but we truly hope to see Greg again one day. He made this place feel like home.

Hola is delicious and delightful! This year, new manager Diego has noticeably elevated and enhanced the goodness. The food and drink portions are back to being generous (after a brief detour last year under different management), and the friendliness and hospitality make for a festive and welcoming atmosphere. I always order the wonderful shrimp enchiladas!

I hate to post this but we had a terrible experience. We were super excited to have dinner here. We arrived precisely at 6:30, which was when our reservation was. We waited about 5 minutes for someone to greet us. And then we were asked if we would be willing to wait for 20 minutes or maybe 10. The reason given was that because the weather was so nice they had had a lot of walk-ins and they were really busy. We were not offered a place to sit or a drink. So, sadly, we decided to leave. A generous estimate would be that the tables inside and out were maybe a quarter full. The young woman working as hostess clearly had little training. I asked if they had a place we could sit and have a drink while we waited and she said, “I don’t know.”. Unfortunately this was a really unpleasant and unexpected experience. We left hoping to find dinner elsewhere. I did comment that people who walk in should wait while priority should be given to those with reservations. Clearly this is not how they operate.

I recommend this restaurant because we had a most excellent meal. The rockfish po’ boy was beyond my expectations. Enjoyed the glass of Malbec that Sean recommended. The prices seem very fair.

The fact that you can have one of the best margaritas you'll ever have while surrounded by old growth, gigantic trees makes this a favorite of ours. Chips and salsa are excellent. The food and service is fine, but nothing to write home about.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this wonderful restaurant nestled in a remote forest area. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and we were amazed at how proficient the cook staff was!!!

The food was quite good. Greg, the waiter, unfortunately, was unprofessional. There was an elder gentleman in a scooter with his wife who tried to navigate through the gravel as Greg said they couldn't sit at a certain table that was larger. The man then got his scooter stuck and it was a mess. The couple were embarrassed and left. Greg made a smart comment in front of the guests about how the man messed up the gravel. Our party was shocked this rude behavior. Not a good representation of your nice establishment.
