we had a great personal chef experience. Jeff was very professional and funny we had some good conversation. our meal was prepared and served in perfect fashion, had the parmesan crusted Alaskan halibut which was divine. my lady had the fillet mignon and said it was supurb. the sides of honey glazed multicolored carrots, small potatoes, and mushrooms spectacular. the desserts of strawberries with a dippable chocolate and the pumpkin cheesecake were decadent. we highly recommend doing this fine dining experience 👌

My husband and I returned to The Gatsby this year for our annual getaway, and once again it was an exceptional experience. The food, the atmosphere, and Chef Jeff himself made it unforgettable. Chef Jeff goes above and beyond—there’s genuine heart in everything he does. We can’t wait to return again next year.

This place is one of our favorite spots on the Oregon coast to have a romantic dinner. Chef Jeff is simply amazing, and the food is master class. Wine selection is fantastic and fair priced. 5 Stars all the way.

5 stars across the board, this is now the third time my wife and I have had dinner at Gatsby's. It's one of our favorite experiences, and Chef Jeff caps it all off with being funny, attentive, and extremely knowledgable on wine, food, and life.

If I could give an extra thousand stars, I would. Jeff was so attentive the entire time we were there and helped us to celebrate our engagement in such a fun way. He took the time to talk to us during and after the meal, and shared a toast with us to our new journey. I can’t recommend him enough if you are in the area and are wanting to celebrate over a wonderful meal, in a fun and very intimate atmosphere. Thank you Jeff!

Booked a table for my birthday. Chef Jeff did an awesome job. Steaks were very tender and done very nicely. Atmosphere was great. I definitely recommend taking the time to book a table if you’re stopping by into Cannon Beach.

Amazing food. The Chef has a great sense of humor and is very engaging with his customers and makes amazing food. The resturaunt itself is small and cozy and just perfect for a nice date night with your significant other. Significant other had the halibut and I had the filet mingon. Halibut was super flaky and the filet was super tender. The sides were delicious and the dessert was amazing. All food was very fresh. Definitely reccomend and will be back ourselves.

I celebrated my birthday with my mom at Gatsby’s, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! Our expectations weren’t just met—they were exceeded in every way. Chef Jeff was incredibly personable and made us feel so welcome. Each course of our three-course meal was crafted with elegance and perfection, and the wine selection complemented everything beautifully. Absolutely loved everything, it was our second visit and can’t say enough about chef Jeff and the incredible food and service!

I went here as a treat to myself. the best decision ever! I had the best filet mignon I have ever tasted in my life, made with a Bordelaise sauce that made me fall in love. The whole meal was well planned and seemed to flow together. I was really impressed with Chef Jeff's knowledge of every wine he had in stock and his selection was really vast. I would highly recommend Gatsby's for a romantic occasion and I've already recommended it to all of my family.

My Wife and I had an absolutely amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was outstanding — every dish was cooked to perfection and full of incredible flavor. What made it even more special was that the chef who does all the work himself adding a warm and personal touch to the whole experience. You can really tell how much pride and passion goes into every plate. The chef was excellent, the atmosphere was inviting, and the entire experience was memorable from start to finish. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone who loves exceptional food and great hospitality!

I’m a little late with this review, but wow — my wife and I came here for our anniversary dinner, and The Gatsby absolutely blew us away! Chef Jeff truly does it all. The new location has this awesome underground, prohibition-style vibe — quiet, cozy, and full of character. The wine selection is fantastic, and the whole atmosphere feels special and intimate.
The food? Next level. Every dish looks amazing and tastes even better. You can tell Chef Jeff puts his heart into every plate. He personally checks in with guests, which makes the experience feel personal and genuine — you don’t get that everywhere.
Don’t try to just walk in; reservations are a must. Trust me, it’s worth planning ahead. This was our second visit, and we’re already looking forward to the next one. The Gatsby and Chef Jeff deliver a dining experience that’s unforgettable from start to finish!
