On our last visit to Cannon Beach, we had the opportunity of visiting Pilot House Distilling one of the most elaborate, diverse distilleries in all of Oregon. An incredible assortment of products… simply incredible. From canned mixed cocktails, incredible whiskeys, Gins, a bunch of Vodkas, and Agave spirits to Liqueurs and Absinthe! They also offer some incredible mixes for home! This downtown Cannon Beach location makes for a great tasting and chilling place. While at the beach, this is most definitely the place to go chill with a nice, perfectly distilled and enjoyable distilled goody! The views from anywhere on the premises are fabulous. The set up, environment and layout are conducive to such an endeavor – not to mention the liqueur is ideal, tasty and just what the connoisseur ordered. Great place to relax with exquisite drinks. Can’t wait to go back.
This place is an absolute A+. Much more than just a distillery. I would call this a must-do while in Cannon Beach.
Cocktails are soooo good! 🍸
Felt like I was at home in my living room with my best bud.
Great experience, highly recommended for anyone that appreciates knowledge of what they are putting in their body and a comfy hug
This place is amazing! Easily the best tasting room experience we've had. John really took care of us - he gave us time to decide on what we wanted and filled us in on their spirits and what made each one special, he made a properly-poured absinthe which was DELICIOUS, and he seemed to really enjoy his job. Prices were really good and we walked away with two bottles and some shirts. A lovely little gem at the beach!
Mr. Mike was amazing. His customer service was top-notch. The beverages were fantastic. He was able to make mixed drinks and in the area you can actually have to go cups so that made it even nicer to be able to walk around and enjoy our beverage. I also was able to get some syrups that I could use in my drinks, alcoholic or none? It was just a really nice vibe.
We recently visited Pilot House Distillery in Cannon Beach a few weeks ago. This has been our third time there and was not quite the same experience as our previous visits. The girl working behind the bar was not that engaging, and the bar looked unorganized and messy and really dark inside. It was a Wednesday so there were only 2 other customers there. We were hoping for the same experience with the bartender and vibe that we had there in previous visits. I think his name was Keith? We ended up buying a four pack of canned cocktails this time to take to the beach and they were delicious. Hope to have a better experience next time.
Pilot house has their main facility in nearby Astoria but this is a super fun tasting room right in the middle of town. Creative mix of gins, vodkas and more.
As gin drinkers I’d recommend the one aged in a whiskey barrel!
Great bang for your buck here too!
Went for their happy hour and got mini cocktails. Their chai hot toddy was one of the best mixed drinks I’ve had. We ended up buying the chai vodka because it was so good and I want to make some at home. Bartender that day was very engaging and warm. He told us about his experiences as a chef and gave us cooking recommendations. This will become a regular place to visit when we come to Cannon Beach.
It was great. Bartender was awesome as was the Ansinthe - served properly with a glass fountain. Gin was also really good.

Great whiskey. I think her name was Amanda, very nice and helpful to me and my wife.
My wife and I sat down, had a good chat with the "bartender", and had some good mini-cocktails! Bought a bottle of their coffee liquor to take home too. It's a fun place to stop by for a quick afternoon drink.
We visited in our girls trip from Kansas and Texas. Such a fun time! Drinks were great and John the bartender was awesome. So fun!!!
I love the product from this place - the Whiskey is the bomb. But go to Astoria if you want to try it. This place is never open. I stopped at 12:40, and as you can see from the photo, they should have been open, but...
John is fantastic. We always enjoy visiting with him when we are at Cannon Beach.
