Best steamed clams we've ever had. The Caesar salad is unique and lovely and the focaccia is also incredible. JJ makes you feel right at home.

Very nice dinner! A little challenging to get a reservation. Live guitar wasn't too bad.

Food was amazing. Service was wonderful. We sat outside during the live music. The live music was a nice touch. We were concerned that the music would be so loud, we wouldn't be able to have a conversation. That was not the case at all. Music was at a perfect volume. And the surroundings outside were beautiful.

Felt welcomed the second we came in, with gentle guitar in the background and smells of garlicy buttery goodness wafting from the kitchen. We ordered clams as an appetizer and they were good, fresh and flavorful. A bread would have been nice to soak up the broth. For main courses we ordered pasta with wild mushrooms and then chef special of the day which was salmon with a whole lot of stuff going on with it. The salmon was slightly over cooked and the sweet sauce drizzled over the dish overpowered all other flavors in the dish. Would stop in here again for apps and a glass of fine but probably would not commit to an expensive main dish again.

I was worried this place would be a “tourist trap” but it far exceeded our expectations! Our server, Craig, was super friendly, attentive, and helpful. And the food was incredible! We shared the poached pear salad to start and Craig brought me a sample of the chowder because I was curious about it. For dinner I had the linguini with foraged mushrooms and my boyfriend had the Vietnamese caramel chicken and they were both amazing - one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Also, it’s a really cute spot with live music. This place is a must for anyone going to Cannon Beach!

Ordered several dishes. Two were good, two were not. Crab cake salty and dry. The special, halibut, two-finger width, $65 before tax and gratuity was bland, not the freshest. The worst was the service. When serving the table, the waitress came with a stack of clean dishes resting on her rib cage. She allocated the dishes by reaching over, her upper body hanging inches above the dishes. Gross.

I checked my records. My credit card statement shows charge by Bistro Fate Cannon Beach on June 7, 2024. Is that not your restaurant? If not, please accept my apologies.

Hands down one of the cutest restaurants ever! My review is long but I was beyond impressed and want to share my experience. My best friend was getting married in August during peak season and one of the owners and manager JJ was willing to take our group of 15 on and was so helpful seems how we live over 2,000 miles away ! Once I arrived the chef/owner (husband) let me fix my cake up on the back and JJ helped me get the cake table going and decorated ! The food was delicious and the servers were kind and fun! Caesar salad is my thing and that was the best one I’ve ever had ! They were so sweet, came out and visited with us and sent the kids home with salt water taffy! They decorate the walls with one of a kind art pieces that they sell for artist and galleries. 10/10 recommend and I will return on my next visit 🖤

JJ & Jack hosted my intimate wedding reception this July and I could not thank them enough for how seamless the evening was! They provided effortless communication in the months leading up to my wedding day, were very responsive to any questions I had, and truly went above and beyond to help create such a magical and romantic atmosphere for us. We will definitely be returning for our first anniversary because the food is absolutely delicious! :) thanks again JJ & Jack!!

Service was good. Food was Medicare. Duck confit was dry and tough for a confit. My salmon was overcooked and dry. The dish was also overpowered by the chutney, which was not needed. The risotto had no chance to shine. The service and live music were the highlight. I'd give it another try. The Ceasar salad looked good from across the way.
