Amazing customer service, disappointing but edible food, the breading on the fish was a flavorless letdown, the fries don’t seem fresh, they seem like they were probably frozen and heated up, the tartar isn’t fresh and comes prepackaged, the clam chowder lacked flavor and spice in every way; won’t be back but it’s edible if you’re starving

I work in downtown Cannon Beach and love popping into Tom's for a special lunch treat. Shawn is always so gracious and welcoming and the whole team is super hard working and generous. I usually get the Blackened Salmon Ceasar Salad but without the seasoning. Today, he talked me into trying the traditional way, and I could not be happier! That is surely going to be my go-to going forward :)

Cliche tourist place. Just very.... Average. Halibut breading wasn't very crispy or thick. Fries were just average freezer fries. Tartar sauce is same as store bought. Can really get the same at a grocery store frozen section. Nothing about it seems like you're right next to the ocean and definitely not worth the price. I've had substantially better fish and chips in the Midwest.

The team is very nice. We happened to land up there on a slow day. They gave us free clam chowder which was amazing. The fish seemed to have more fish and thinner coat of breading than other places which is great. I think they have a few vegetarian items that aren't showing on the wall menu, so ask about that.

Everytime we're in Cannon Beach we visit Tom's Fish and Chips. Shawn and his crew do an outstanding job taking orders and serving their customers. Everything is made fresh to order and served hot! The prices are good and the portions are just right. We had the 3pc cod and chips with a side of coleslaw and it was very enjoyable! Thanks for a Great Experience! See you next time!

The workers at the counter were very nice. And the atmosphere is not great but it’s fine. We got cod, prawns and halibut and it was some of the worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. The fish is extremely thin & they don’t even make their sauces in house. Ecola is far superior highly recommend skipping Tom’s and going there - I never write bad reviews like this but this was especially bad food.

Ordered the halibut fish and chips. The food came out in like 3-4 minutes, which meant the fish was from a box and tossed in a fryer.
The two pieces of fried halibut were dry and the portion size was small. $24

We had a great experience!!! My husband and I got fish and chips, fish tacos, and a salad. Everything was delicious and we felt like the price matched the food. The counter guy and staff were wonderful! Extremely nice and helpful with our questions about allergies. We will definitely be adding this place to our list of places to eat at when we visit!
