My favorite place for sure when I visit from Florida! The atmosphere is fun and the owners make me feel like family. The boba is fabulous and flavors are inventive! The donuts are amazing! Always new flavors that are home run every time! And GLUTEN FREE!

A donut shop that’s closed on the weekends, only open 4 week days, and doesn’t open until 7am? Are people only wanting donuts during business hours M-Th? How are you a donut shop that’s NOT open on weekends when families are together and looking for a fun morning option?

Thankfully other donut shops want business on weekends.

One approaches Mochi House Donuts with a certain sense of curiosity, only to be swiftly disarmed by the quiet magnificence of its craft. The dough itself is a revelation: elastic yet delicate, each morsel yielding with an aristocratic chew that lingers on the palate like a well-considered phrase in a sonnet. This is no crude indulgence but rather a meditation on texture, an essay in resilience and lightness that beckons—indeed insists—upon another bite.

The frostings, presented with an unabashed gleam, are exuberant in their sweetness. At moments, one feels the hand of the confectioner a touch too generous, as if the sugared cloak risks obscuring the noble subtleties of the mochi crumb beneath. It is a minor excess, yet worthy of note, for refinement is so often the difference between the commendable and the transcendent.

Still, the establishment as a whole commands respect. Mochi House Donuts is not merely a purveyor of pastries; it is an atelier of edible lyricism, offering pastries that might very well be served beneath the vaulted ceilings of gastronomy’s most hallowed halls.

The maple bars were heavy and chewy. Some people like donuts like that, I like them lighter.

The owners need to taste the donuts and their boba teas. The oil is old and it has a very unpleasant aftertaste. Donuts are too hard to chew. The boba teas are not well blended and it has powdery taste and texture. I want this business to thrive but it doesn’t improve. My kids said the donuts taste weird. It’s the oil. I know there are people that want to open a mochi donut shop in Medford, I’m afraid when there is competition, this donut house might not make it. The only reason it’s working is because there are no competitors. Seriously, please taste test every morning before selling.

I am a semi-regular customer, and found my interaction today to be particularly unpleasant. The male employee was dry, rude, and made me feel stupid and belittled for being bad at math and not ordering a dozen exactly on a preorder. I ordered a drink after and that interaction was also not pleasant. I usually love mochi donut and their service but was truly disappointed. The donuts were great as usual, of course.

I was unfortunate enough to have been able to try one of their donuts today and it completely ruined donuts for me. No other donut will ever compare to the experience I had today tasting my first mochi donut house donut. So delicious, i cant stop thinking about it.

I may or may not have a bubble tea addiction and I love their bubble tea. I get the brown sugar milk tea as that is my favorite. Boba is always fresh and delicious. Also the doughnuts are delicious and my favorite is the ube flavor. Really recommend you try this place also mochi doughnuts are gluten free so I have brought their donuts to potluck events. Just make sure the topping is also gluten free so just ask.

The mochi donuts were very good and had a lots of different options to try but my suggestion would be to only buy what you're going to eat that day. The maple bacon ones were excellent.
