This is one of the least friendly locations I have ever been. My dog peed out front of the place and someone came out to yell at me about it. I will try to avoid this part of the world if possible.

Classic rural diner, and right next to brand new EV (Tesla) chargers. Owner was welcoming and cooked me up a deliciously messy mushroom burger. Definitely worth the stop!

Stopped in to charge at the nearby supercharger and headed in for a cup of coffee. We ended up chatting with the owner who was friendly and welcoming.

Just stopped by and by far the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced the guy working there who apparently owns the place was hella rude and the food was worse then a high school cafeteria 💀 if i could rate it a 0/5 i would, dude needs to learn how to treat customers and stay away from food service lol 🤣

Humiliating, xenophobic, and proud of it
Absolute worst stop on our Crater Lake trip. My friend (visiting from another country) walked inside to throw away a couple pieces of trash because he didn’t see the outdoor bin by the EV charger. The guy behind the counter immediately starts laughing in his face, mocking him like he’s an idiot for not knowing the secret local trash can location. My friend, trying to be polite, asks about the restroom and offers to buy something because of the giant “paying customers only” sign. Employee laughs again, humiliates him even more, and snaps, “What do you think this place is?” before walking off.
The second he heard my friend’s accent and I casually mentioned we were coming up from California, the vibe turned ice-cold. Yeah, I know, it’s apparently a literal crime to be from California around here guilty as charged. Add a foreign visitor into the mix and suddenly we’re public enemy #1. Blatant profiling of both an out-of-state plate and someone from another country.
I ended up buying a hot chocolate just to have a receipt, it was watery, lukewarm, and forgettable.
This isn’t quirky small-town attitude; it’s straight-up hostile and humiliating. Travelers are the only reason this place exists, yet they treat anyone who isn’t a regular like absolute trash. Skip it. Plenty of friendlier stops on 97. Never coming back.

This place is SOLID!!!

I stopped to fill up the car... and I'm glad I did!

The burger was fantastic. The patty was great, the veggies were REALLY fresh, and the bun was top-tier!

10/10!!! The burger was delicious! The tomato and onions were farmers market quality. Even the bun was good!!

Didn’t even have a chance to enter his restaurant before he came out yelling at my friend and I for “trespassing” on the side of the road right off the highway. He must have something against the people who use the Tesla Charger they just installed. Wouldn’t support this guys business at all!

Last time I was here, I was 7 months pregnant and needed to use the restroom, but felt so uncomfortable I didn't even ask. The owner was also bragging about how much he hates Tesla's and the supercharger outside (I was there to supercharge). Back again today, and there's unfriendly signs everywhere, it's very unwelcoming and creepy.

Stopped by this place for a quick bite and restroom break after driving around Crater Lake. There’s a sign stating you must make a purchase before using the restroom, which is fine—but when an elderly woman came in, the man running the place refused to let her use it until she ordered first.

When I went to check the women’s restroom, I didn’t even bother using it—it looked filthy, with what appeared to be rat droppings around the base of the sink. My boyfriend let the man know, and his response was that he’s a “one-man show” and doesn’t have time to clean. He insisted it was just insulation and even suggested my boyfriend clean it himself—what the heck? And there was no soap in either restroom.

Cleanliness is one of the most basic expectations for any diner, especially when serving food. We paid for our order to-go but decided not to eat or drink anything. To top it off, the receipt showed a $1.50 self-added tip.

The sign out front says there’s another place just 7 miles down the road—honestly, I recommend driving the extra few miles. 🥲

Sadly a missed opportunity. I have charged my car here many times while driving up and down 97. The restroom previously said not working. Now there are nice new signs stating that it is for restaurant patrons only. And no effort by owner to make the restaurant more friendly to passers through here for 15-20 mins while charging. There’s a constant influx of EV owners who would welcome a coffee, quick salad, sandwich or other healthy snack or meal to go. But the restaurant is unwelcoming, and today it’s almost 1p on a Saturday and it’s closed. Why not paint, put up a sign, serve coffee and snacks to go, make the restroom useable, even have a high end vending machine for off hours purchases? Sell local pies or other baked goods? Make it a nice and welcoming business instead of hostile and desolate? Just a suggestion.

We stopped in to have a bite to eat one late afternoon. As we walked up to the door a gentleman locked the door. After knocking someone opened the door and said they were closed for 20 min because they only had one clean plate, then slammed the door in our face. We will never come back and let others know to avoid this place. Rude!
