We stopped in at 7 pm on a Saturday evening. Our original impression was, "Wow! Look at this huge building!" We were a little wary as the interior was very outdated and in need of a general tune up, but the kindly server and outstanding service made up for anything the atmosphere lacked. Any size group whether it be just adults or a family would be welcome here. The food was extremely delicious and our party of 5 (two adults, along with a 6, 7, and 14 year old)were impressed...
It was BYOPD (bring your own pig day)! So i stopped by my peepaws farm and he lended me a pig. And thanks to Dorothy, she skinned and butchered the pig for us right at our table! We love you Dorothy!!
Three of us had dinner at The Lodge last week. Our server, Barbara was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent; a combination of comfort food and fine cuisine. One of us ordered battered fish which was prepared to perfection, one ordered pork chops (excellent), and I had the meatloaf. The portion was bigger than a softball! We all enjoyed our meal, and then strolled around the pond behind the restaurant. I recommend!
