Claim Jumper Steakhouse & Bar

Made reservations for our party of 5 on app. Host was very short with us, stating they were swamped and we needed to wait for awhile. Ok. I understand, but this was at 445 when the restaurant was virtually empty. That's ok, we enjoyed most of our meal but I recommend no one ever order the meatloaf, it's 65% loaf and 35% celery. For $25 you'd think you get some flavor and maybe a bit more “loaf”. Refills came quickly and the server was extremely kind. But remember, never order the meatloaf.

I had a specific meeting with a musician friend and had conversational goals. I was greeted, seated and all my requests were met. It was a successful meeting and I would have gladly signed a guest book.

I had a 5 PM reservation for my boyfriends birthday. We arrived right at 5 and walked in. There was one group of maybe 6 people waiting to be sat. It's a Thursday night, the restaurant is dead. We stood in the entrance for 6-7 minutes without even being acknowledged or even looked at. We gave it another minute and still the host couldn't be bothered to say “be right with you.” We turned around and walked out. Decided to go across the street to Oswego grill, and It turns out the rest of their customers did too!!

You need to hire more staff. The wait was sooooo long, slice there were many tables that were empty.

I used to be a huge fan of ClaimJumper. I don't go nearly as often now because the quality and quantity of the food has diminished quite noticeably. I located an old gift card that I had not used so we decided to try it again. The quality of the food is slightly better but the price level continues to skyrocket! Many of the items we like have either jumped to as much as double in price or were simply taken off the menu. Watch out for outrageous prices for substitutions -- we were charged 2 1/2 dollars for a substitution for a very small (maybe 1/2 cup) of macaroni and cheese!!! The restaurant used to be bustling on a Friday evening -- on our visit it was 1/3 full at 7pm. The server was OK but it seemed like she really didn't like her job and everything she did was just obligatory. With other choices that are so close and that are so much better for the same price, we're certainly in no hurry to go back.

The service was very good! The Cobb salad was horrible. Why iceberg lettuce, with toppings dumped on top. yuk! The other entrées looked much better. If I ever return, I'll not order their salads. Drinks were great and the atmosphere ok. The restaurant looks tired.

I went there the other day with my good friend for lunch. I have been there in the past and I lived up to everything. I remembered I'll be coming back soon with a larger group to share the wonderful service food and ambience.

One of the best places in the PDX are to eat.

Been going here for years... as expected prices are up but the amount of food for appetizers is significantly down... Id expect the quality to be as it aways was but it just wasnt as good.

Way over price with lack of quality. I went there for fathers day.. What a waste of money

The server was rude. Didn’t do her job. Didn’t refill coffee or water. Not somewhere to go back too.

A group of 5 ate here for their Father’s Day brunch buffet. They had a lot of food options and were on top of keeping items stocked. Most items were kept in metal warming dishes with lids which wasn’t very aesthetic but did the trick to keep items hot. Some dishes were better than others but overall we left happy and satisfied. $50pp was a little steep as all of us only had 2 plates of food and I don’t think it constituted $25 a plate, but nevertheless it was a nice experience for the holiday. We’d most likely return again.

Jose was so amazing!! He was friendly, kind, personable, efficient, and super quick!! He checked in on us often and made sure our table was always clean and our drinks were full! DEFINITELY an asset to this restaurant, I would recommend anyone to ask for Jose if he is working, absolutely worth the experience!!

We came here for the Father’s Day brunch and had such a great time! Our server was Jose and he was incredibly kind and provided great service!
