I can't believe I'm writing this. I LOVE me some McMenamins, but I had the most disappointing experience here. It was the typical atmosphere and unique inside, but food and service needs improvement. I ordered the TNT chicken basket with tots and a bowl of chowder. All pretty normal staples I order on the regular, I'm no stranger to McMenamins. Lol Chowder shouldn't be watery or runny. Chicken strips were black and burned in some spots, and my tots were almost orange from being overcooked. We waited approximately 25-30 minutes for food, and the establishment wasn't that busy. There we maybe 5 or 6 seated tables. My sever spoke with the manager, then offered food replacement and said someone new made the soup, implying she knew it wasn't up to par, but they're serving it anyway. I declined, not wanting to wait another lengthy time for my meal. She then brought over the card machine to check me out so I could be on my way while another table mate was still eating their food. We were all on one check, so we paid and left. No communication from the manager who was hanging around the bar area, just bye. I'm disappointed, to say the least.

Food was better than past experiences. Service Great. Feels like a neighborhood bar, cozy.

Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the area and friendly.

Easily the worst location in the state

Food always good, but despite being the only people in the restaurant the food took >40 minutes

Excellent food! Had the fish and chips, my wife got a burger and so did my son. Really good meal, service was good and our server was friendly. Little slow, but everything was good!

Great food. Her burger was the wrong one. Not very busy, but the service was slow. Seemed the people drinking beer got the best service. That was our first time eating at McMenamins, and it wasn't up to the hipe.

$21 for 2 greasy flavorless peices of fish. Some parts were crispy, and other parts were soggy. Probably up there with the top 3 worst fish and chips I’ve ever had, and I’ve been to some questionable food joints. Burgerville has better fish and chips….

First time coming to Clackamas! Definitely had to give this place a try!! It will be on my list once we move up to orgeon! 10/10

So sad to have witnessed this last night at mcminimums in happy valley off the 205 on sunnyside road. The cook would not cook dinnerfor a black family last night. They had them leave.I expect better from this place! The founders i believe would be ashamed of this incident.

The past two times I have been to this place haven’t been the best. Both times it was after picking up family from the hospital across the street, both times we were all very hungry and both times felt like we were neglected here.

It felt like we were seated like it was an afterthought, after waiting a while we went and grabbed our own menus. 10 minutes later someone comes by to offer us menus and we order. 40 more minutes pass and we watch people who have come in after us order and start eating already. By the time the food does get to us it’s so late we (or at least I) am so upset I don’t even want to be there anymore so we just ask for to-go boxes right away.

All while we are sitting at the table in the middle of the room, right next to the bar in full view.

The food was good, but the experience really soured things.

We didn’t want to make a thing about it so we just paid and left. But I don’t think we will be coming back.
