Awesome place! ? We go there now every time we go to Pacific City for a weekend alone, kids left w gma and gpa. It feels great, they're very friendly, there are nice, large windows, and the food is exceptional and comforting. Highly recommend.

Awesome scones and awesome folks!

UPDATE : still the best scones you’ll ever have - this is the best food place in Pacific City! The savory scones are a family favorite (ham and cheese, yes please!) as well as the marionberry with white chocolate and the cherry almond - YUM!!! The scones are huge but you won’t want to share.

Parking: If you arrive right when they open there’s usually plenty of parking, but depending on when you’re visiting parking may be a little tight in the busier times (weekends jn the summer particularly).

We had a terrific lunch in this charming little cottage of a restaurant. The food and service was top notch.

We walked in excited to try the supposed awesome food. Greeted by scowls from all four waitresses. Asked if we seated ourselves or waited. The place was not busy at all. There were lots of open tables. We were told we’d be seated in a few minutes. Scowls from everyone again. We left. Terrible. Terrible customer service from a group of wait-persons that should know better. Go to Village Cafe instead for some real people.

I have never been disappointed, but today I was blown away!!! I wasn’t very hungry and just ordered a breakfast sandwich and our lovely server suggested I have it on their bagel of the day (I don’t particularly care for bagel sandwiches, but trusted her advice), WOW!!! Most amazing bagel I’ve ever had!!! NY good? No, NY FANTASTIC!!! My mouth wanted 20 more, but my tummy couldn’t even finish it. I don’t like leftovers or take out, but saved this and am enjoying it now, counting the seconds until they open tomorrow morning ?

Went for breakfast and had the Sunshine Day Dream with sourdough toast. I added a side of salsa, which helped add some flavor. The meal was hot and full of veggies and tasted good with the addition of salsa. They also have an Asian tofu wrap. Updated from previous review on 2024-09-30

Stopped in on the way through Pacific City to check out the baked goods. All of the pastries looked amazing but we settled on the chocolate chip cookie. It was ridiculously good. Maybe the best cookie I've ever eaten.

Food was amazing! Highly recommend stopping in to get anything on their menu, especially baked goods, to go! The service felt pretty slow on a Saturday morning but we could tell they were very busy and probably needed more people in the kitchen. The serving staff were friendly and again so busy. I thought the place would be quaint and cozy but shockingly loud with how many people were eating, the kitchen partly open, people waiting, and staff moving around. I would totally go back because the food was spectacular just try to time more off hours.

Kid-friendliness: Great high chairs! Smiled at all the kiddos around and had crayons for older kids

We decided to stop by for breakfast on our way out of town today 9/8/24 and try out a new place. I can’t say Ive ever written a 1 star review but this place left us disappointed and unsatisfied. Upon arriving we were not greeted until we approached the counter to find out there was a waiting list, we put our names on the list and waited for about 15-20 minutes for a table. Unfortunately for our server it appeared that she was also responsible for taking care of the other 15+ tables in the restaurant, atleast I’d hope that is the case or else I have no idea how to justify our 1 hour+ wait time for 2 sandwiches. Upon receiving the food the sandwich I ordered was incorrect and had bacon on it instead of ham, not a huge deal but this was just a series of the establishment dropping the ball. The dory caught cod sandwich my partner ordered was incredibly bland, this could’ve been a one off but did not compare to the one we’d gotten the previous day at Sportsman’s pub and grub. We would’ve spoken up to the server but we were never checked back in on about how the food was, or if we needed more water. At this point in time my partner and I were both tired of waiting and ready to pay and leave. We finished our meals and proceeded to wait.. and wait for our check to come. After another 10+ minute wait we decided to go up to the counter and ask for the check. They offer a “cash discount” in other words if you want to use a card in what appears to be an upscale establishment they will add a service charge. if you like to pretend your on shakedown street and “have just gotta poke around” to receive service, or have 2 hours to kill in the Grateful Dead cover band of restaurants I’d say give it a go.

EDIT: CAME IN ON 9/5/24. NOW WHILE THEY DIDN'T HAVE WHAT I WANTED I FEEL THAT THE RESPONSE COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE NICER. "WHAT WE HAVE IS OUT" I'M HERE FROM COLORADO AND WAS REALLY WANTING BROWNIES. THE BROWNIES I USED TO GET. I DID SEE SOME THINGS COOLING IN THE BACK. I GLADLY WOULD HAVE LOVED TO ASK IF ANY WERE BROWNIES. I used to go here al the time when I lived in WA state. I had a great surprise when a client of mine knew I was coming into town and she surprised me with Cream cheese brownies. Best brownies around. I have never had a bad meal or treat here. Love it!

We ate breakfast here twice in one weekend. One of the few places in the area that opens at 8, takes credit cards, and has a kids menu. Plenty of parking and there's also a drive thru window. Our daughter loved the French toast dippers. I liked the biscuit and the scramble. It's a bit confusing in the small entryway, as there's a line for people getting takeaway orders and there's no sign that says to wait to be seated. There ends up being a lot of people without a lot of organization. I ordered a savory scone the first time we went, and because our server forgot to go grab it right away, all the savory scones were gone by the time I reminded her. Not the best system, but it seems to work most of the time. Very family friendly.
