This used to be my favorite place to eat on I-5. They have been bought out by Corporate, and they have become a high cost, fast food, unfriendly, sterile atmosphere. I'm sure the truckers aren't impressed anymore, either. Although i chose not to eat, Our waitress was awesome.

This place no longer has the awesome homemade food. I used to stop every chance I got, but I won't be eating there anymore.

This was my favorite truck stop but something changed. Asked the waitress and it stoped being local. It’s now iron skillet in disguise. Limited menu disappointing food.

Waitress was on top of it. The food was great. Very good portions for the price. Would definitely recommend it passing thru.

this is just a terrible cafe, I remember the service in Soviet canteens. and the waitress is just.... she needs to be hired if we need to close the cafe.

Ever since TA bought them out they have gone downhill. Food was disgusting. Menu is half the size of what it used to be.

Like everyone else has said, this is not the same place. What used to be an independent family run restaurant was bought out by Travel America and is basically now an Elmer's/IHOP level place. The menu was changed to generic Sysco fare, essentially portions were halved, prices were doubled and quality went down. The menu selection is much smaller as well. There were a lot of loyal customers who would make the trip from town out there but most of them have stopped coming and the place was mostly empty last time we went. I assume TA figures in enough time people won't know any better and they'll get enough business from people passing by on the freeway, but I don't really know what the plan is if there is one.
But if you are looking for a breakfast place, just skip this one and head to Busy Bee Cafe or Todd's Place in Springfield instead.

This used to be one of my favorite stops on i5. The fried nushrooms were great and the burgers were fresh now it's an iron skillet in everything but name and the truck stop part doesn't even offer any cool or unique stuff. I used to get my lug nut covers here and it's all gone.
In short, here's no reason to stop here any more. I'1l keep going until 7 feathers, pioneer villa or heaven on earth for great food.
