Sad to say that Cedars Restaurant burned down during the fires in Oregon. I hope they can rebuild. Awesome hamburgers!
We got food to go several times and ate breakfast in the restaurant. The portions are huge and the people friendly. The onions rings will keep us coming back again and again. Great little restaurant!
We got burgers to go and typically a burger is a burger but these burgers were really good. They were packed nicely and we scared them down while looking at the lake. Thank you.
Ok for a quick, simple bite while driving through town. Nothing too exciting in terms of flavors, basic diner fare.
I love this place! The sign outside is even cute. Always check to see if open first, seems to be a laid back vibe in Detroit Lake area...kinda like Hawaii time. The best salad I ever had, cute bar and love the beachie feel. Everything I have ordered has been good. Please don't judge restaurants for "bad service" maybe you caught someone on a bad day or maybe YOU are the one having a bad day. Peace out!
Love the staff and the screw drivers made with fresh squeezed oranges!
took awhile for are drink order, but pleasant place, not like it use to be..
I honestly wish I could rate it higher, but it was not acceptable for how long it took for me to go from my order to paying and leaving. I waited the average 20 minutes for my take out but, I was left waiting for 40 minutes for me to pay for my food. One waitress and a manager were out and about. Waitress was doing all the work and the manager was on her phone, taking some order, and looked at me several times. I dont understand why it took so long. It ended up taking 30 seconds for my order to be ringed up and payed for.
We stop here almost every trip over the mountain. Great food. My burger was delicious with fresh condiments and roasted jalapenos!
We stop here every time on our way to central Oregon. Best chicken wrap I've ever had & their honey mustard is incredible!

I thought the food was okay until I met the chef. He walked by me and smelled strong of body odor. I can understand having a rough day at the grill but this was WAY more than that! His hair was not pulled back he obviously had not showered or washed his clothes in days. Heavy set man with reddish brown hair, mid thirties. He said his name was Glen but I’m not sure I heard him right. Anyhow, I lost my appetite. I cannot believe there is not some type of dress code or standard for cooks/chefs at this place!
Hugely friendly and great environment... great locals and superb food! Worth a stip in and drink or eat!
A must when Im in Detroit. Atmosphere is a 5.. Food is a 3. Still a fun stop!
Poor service, skimpy portions and not very good. Definitely won't be back. And the cook was stuffing french fries in his mouth while he was preparing our food..he should have at least kind of hid behind a wall when he's shoving handfuls of french fries into his mouth so customers couldn't see. Been going to the corner post Cafe instead lately. Much better food much better service good experience all around
