The food was really, really tasty but grumpy as heck. Super rude but we'd eat there again because it was so yummy!

Who knew there was crazy good bento in Detroit, Oregon?! And the owner was so sweet!
They definitely don't get a lot of people familiar with Asian food (or at least white people familiar with Asian food), because when I asked for chopsticks instead of a fork, and my 6 year old asked for gyoza instead of potstickers, the guy was clearly shocked.
The spicy pork was so good! Big servings.

Hardly any meat, way too much sauce and way too expensive for what it is. Extremely sweet and and overbearing amount of sauce on everything. I believe most of the positive reviews are from the previous iteration of the restaurant.

I have to say, the food here was surprisingly good, especially considering your impression from the exterior.
We stayed the night at the connected hotel (which may be owned by the same people). The hotel was clean and comfortable, but certainly nothing fancy. And this place feels very similar. That said, the food here, while still not fancy, was very enjoyable and reasonably priced. There’s still very little options for dining around the lake as it’s mostly a camping destination, so finding a good eatery is a nice plus.

1st time (and last) customer on Sunday, July 28th, 2024...
- Over priced Yobishabi noodles / rice with Beef for $22.00!!
AS SHOWN;
- 4 pieces of Broccoli
- only 4 small pieces of beef. (Look hard in upper right corner of photo) Two of which where "Chewy" with Fat / Gristle.

Bottom line. A really expensive plate of rice and noodles. I DON'T recommend.

The owner was very friendly, the service was quick, and the food hit the spot. Was very chilly inside but it was a cold day!

First time coming here. I loved the food! Such delicious food and the presentation of the meal makes it feel so special. These are two wonderful people making good food and staying afloat during inflation. I hope to eat here again! The rice is perfect too. Some of the best rice I’ve had in a long time.

Parking: Lots of spaces and even outdoor dining.

Kid-friendliness: They didn’t seem to mind my rowdy children. Lol

As my human form molders states away in Minneapolis, my immortal soul cries out for Mountain High Teriyaki.Return me to Mountain High Teriyaki.Immerse me again in that time—where the badness was raw enough to feel clean, and the goodness was always tender (even when it couldn't change the course of our lives). The staff here was so kind, a family business. The two we met were some of the friendliest people I've crossed in food service. They were bright and optimistic. We joked around and it felt earnest. Seeing the restaurant is now marked "temporarily closed" puts a knot in my stomach. I hope they're doing well. When some friends and I returned to our campsite after eating, I smoked a cigarette (they were still selling menthols at the corner store nearby). It was pretty nice, but not really the best way to savor something. When I think about that now, it makes me a little nauseous for some reason.I loved Mountain High Teriyaki.Even if I never return there, my heart hums hopefully for their return to operational status. The food was excellent and they truly were the nicest people.

Ordered chicken teriyaki and chicken yakisoba. The chicken teriyaki sauce was not properly made, gritty in your mouth. Yakisoba sauce tastes like ketchup. Service was not professional, owner hit me in the head with my bagged food. Owner was not friendly, complained about lack of customers, was sarcastic to us and food was WAY overpriced for the quality.

Lovely couple serving up delicious Japanese food and friendly service. Their crispy fried potstickers makes an excellent car snack! So glad we stopped here.
