My wife and I just returned from a one night stay at the Black Walnut Inn & Vineyard. To say were were satisfied is a major understatement. We were very well taken care of by Sierra. She went above and beyond to make our stay one that we will treasure forever.Since our stay was a weekday, and in the off season, we ended up being the only guests at the Inn. We had the place to ourselves. Not to mention, Sierra was kind enough to upgrade our room to the best at the Inn. Wow, we felt like royalty!Had the language been Italian, I'd swear we were in Tuscany. The views over the vineyard, the decor, design of the Inn were all outstanding.Breakfast is included in the room and it was fantastic, as is everything at the Black Walnut Inn.If you're a wine lover and someone who enjoys the better things in life, you can't go wrong with the Black Walnut Inn & Vineyard.

This was an excellent stay at an historical, beautifully renovated Inn. Service and cooked breakfast to order was above and beyond expectations. Our spacious room was an delightful experience to spend the night in. The host was particularly caring posting back an item left behind. Can’t recommend this Inn highly enough!

Black Walnut is far and away the best place I have ever stayed! The Inn itself is beautiful and well-maintained. The rooms are opulent and comfortable. The views are some of the absolute best in Oregon. But the best thing about Black Walnut is the staff. Everyone is so accommodating and friendly. Be sure to book one of the private wine pairings with Chef Chase!

After stumbling upon Black Walnut Inn during our engagement weekend, we were transported to Italy, and knew that we wanted to stay at the beautiful estate for our wedding. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with glasses of wine local to the Willamette Valley and breathtaking views of the rolling Dundee Hills and vineyards below. Our room was gorgeous, natural light filtering in from the balcony. Comfortable, spacious, and cozy with stunning amenities. Black Walnut is pure luxury and romance.Sitting to brunch, sunshine streaming into the dining room was the perfect start to each morning. Every plate beautifully plated and delivered tableside, featuring fresh ingredients and local flavors. The staff was attentive and accommodating and helped make the weekend unforgettable. With Black Walnut featuring nine rooms, the space was warm, intimate and personal.Black Walnut Inn will always have a special place in our hearts. We will be planning wine weekend getaways at Black Walnut for years to come. To say we recommend a stay is an understatement.

The environment was so impeccable and the sommelier at our wine-food pairing lunch so informative that this visit has converted us into wine people. We came home, bought some books, and the rest is history. One star docked for the location because there is currently (2023) a second B&B building under construction across the driveway. It's a tidy site, but it hurts the ambiance inevitably.

If you cannot relax and recognize God's beauty, sipping great wine by the fire pit staring at a snow capped mount hood with you bride at this place, we need to talk! the Black Walnut exceeded all of our expectations. The property is gorgeous. The service is fabulous. the people are awesome. We are still blessed to be able to do some hiking, the elevation changes are no joke. Be prepared! We went each morning and came back to amazing breakfast at the Inn everyday. Caroline, Sierra and Sydney are the most most pleasant and caring folks you could meet. All were so helpful and also knowledgeable about things to do, places to see in the valley. We did the 4 course dinner with their amazing chef Chase. The food was amazing. Room was beautiful, beds and Linens were exceptional. I almost did not write a review to selfishly not give a way this hidden diamond. We truly cannot imagine better accommodations. God willing we will certainly return. They are building 9 more rooms and an event center and restaurant. Should be phenomenal. MaryAnn and I thank you all for a very memorable experience. God Bless you folks at the Walnut.

If we could give the Black Walnut Inn more than five stars we absolutely would. Everything about this place is charming, delightful, and welcoming. Especially Marie and Frankie who are as sweet as can be. Frankie produces phenomenal breakfasts as you sit in a beautifully appointed dining room. Marie is a treasure. She is happy to tell you about her amazing life and experiences. She is dazzling. Each room/suite has a well thought out ambiance. Lovely. We were fortunate to stay in room #5; the room dedicated to Native Americans. Ask Marie, it's her story to tell. Oh... we don't want to forget the chickens. Talk about fresh eggs! We would go back in a heartbeat it was such a terrific experience. Cindy & Gene

My husband and I stayed at Black Walnut for the last leg of our honeymoon, and we are so glad we did.We stayed in room 6. It was huge and beautiful. We loved being able to walk right out into the common patio and also having our own private patio space. The staff are so kind and gave us great recommendations. The breakfast is PHENOMENAL. What a great way to start the day.We felt like we were in Italy or France here. I loved sitting and looking out at the gorgeous view while smelling the lavender and hearing the bees buzz.We went to dinner at another hotel we had considered staying at, and we were so glad we chose Black Walnut for how peaceful and gorgeous it is. It is also ridiculously close to more tasting rooms than one could ever possibly visit.I am curious to see what it will be like after they finish construction of additional rooms. I certainly hope we will return some day and can't recommend Black Walnut enough.

We had a wonderful experience in all aspects at the Black Walnut Inn. The location is serene, with amazing views and a very quiet and peaceful setting. Included with the stay is morning breakfast, which is some of the best breakfast food we have ever had. The service and staff are all extremely nice and accommodating, and bend over backwards to make it an excellent stay. The rooms are top notch, very spacious, well decorated, luxurious beds, and panoramic views. We opted in for one of the select nights of dinner that are offered to guests, which was wonderfully done just like the morning brunch. The Black Walnut is not inexpensive, but they earn every dollar in creating an incredibly memorable and unique experience. We highly recommend it and will be back!Rooms: Very well appointed rooms. We’ll decorated and updated, huge windows, comfy beds.Food & drinks: One of the best dining experiences we’ve had. We tried everything on the breakfast menu during our stay, and all of it was top notch.

We had an awesome adventure at Black Walnut. The room was super nice. The views were incredible. The staff was amazing, but the special 5 course meal by Chef Chase Williams and his team was the highlight. Food that we would have never tried or ordered was presented in an ‘out of this world’ manner and the tastes were amazing along with the wine pairings. I can not stress enough to not skip the foodie adventure here.

We had a restful stay at Black Walnut Inn. The accommodations are uniquely beautiful and peaceful. The made to order breakfast was delicious and quite an extravagant treat. We had a suite which was large and very comfortable. A few things were disappointing. There was no full length mirror in the room. The bath tub was big and inviting, but the glass doors to the bathroom allowed no privacy for bathing. The toilet/shower area was tiny and awkward. The mini bar area was large, with three drawers but no utensils, no plates, no napkins or even a “kitchen” towel to clean up a spill. We had a cracked mug which bled tea all over the counter and we didn’t have anything to clean up the mess. It was a shame to use a bathroom towel for a spill. Overall a beautiful stay, but when we pay top dollar, we have high expectations.
